Kellen's POV:
It’s been a week since I rescued Shyla from Forlorn Heights, and each day, that past has only deepened my resolve to protect her. I've hardly slept, eaten, or been away from her. Titus becomes frantic whenever we're apart for too long, and my anxieties get the best of me when she's not in my line of sight.
I made good on my promise by relocating her to the royal suite in the academy hospital, far from prying eyes and the unsettling presence of that professor. My resolve to teach him a lesson and assert my authority could not be stronger. While I truly appreciate his role in saving her life, his growing personal attachment to Shyla raises troubling concerns, mainly because it drives Titus into a frenzy. This leads me to a simple conclusion: Adam Cullen can not be trusted.
