11. First Day Jitters

Shyla's POV: 4AM The Following Morning. I stretched my hands high above my head, letting out a deep yawn. Wiping the sleep out of my eyes, I pushed back the covers, and forced my tired limbs out of my cozy bed, groggily walking over to my night stand where I had my towel and toiletries, laid out from the night before. I'm always up before the sun, no matter how hard I try, my body won't allow me to sleep any later thanks to all those horrible years waking up before Denver. I don’t mind it, though, I enjoy the calm solitude that comes with early mornings, before the rest of the world wakes up. Plus, waking up early has helped me stay on top of my duties and put me far above my peers academically. My first class doesn't start until 8AM, so I decided to get ready early. I want to utili
