The final conclusion of the Leo case came with his detention at the precinct later that week and when Howard brought the police update to my desk, I merely signed the acknowledgment file without any desire for further retaliation. For me, restoring the hotel's reputation and cleansing the administration mattered more than pursuing personal punishment and since things were going pretty well, I didn't have any complaints.
That day, after school, I decided to go pick Eli up, since he had been blowing up my phone with wails of wanting to see me and the moment I parked, stepped down and he spotted me, he broke into a huge smile as he ran toward me.
