Richard was in his office holding his childhood bestfriend in his arms as she cried again at the the mention of him leaving.
She had been pampered since they were young and after she last suicide attempt last five years, everyone had stopped telling her no and always ensured she was in a company she enjoyed and she never was alone. She was been treated like an egg for five years and he had gotten used to this behavior of hers.
To stop her from crying, he was still holding her like a child as he rocked her to make her stop crying as he promised that he won’t leave. ‘Stella could wait’ he thought to him self but boy was he wrong.
His door was banged open from a force that shook the pencil holder on his desk, before he looked up to see who had come banging into his office he heard the voice of his secretary, “Miss Li, you can’t enter the room”. His secretary was obviously trying to hold her back. He stared into the cold eyes of the woman who looked at him, not with those emotions in them last five years.
Thinking about it the last time he had looked well at her was five years ago when the were still a loving couple before the accident involving Claire. ‘When did it all change’, he began to wonder again. ‘She has also lost weight’ He noticed again. But before he could think of a way to explain to her the reason why he was holding Claire, she slapped a piece of paper and said in a cold voice, a kind of voice he like never associate with her before. “Sign” she said.
She looked at him impatiently, urging him with her eyes to sign the paper on the table before him. He had held the paper to read, Claire began to cry again as she awoke from the slumber she was once in.
All he could see from the bold red letters was, “Divorce Agreement”. He had already picked up the pen as was signing it with hope to go back to coaxing the crying Claire in his arms.
He had just finished signing it before the title hit him. “Divorce Agreement???”
She wanted to divorce him?
