"Mom just awoke a short time ago, and the nurse informed us that her testing was currently ongoing." With what sounded like an optimistic tone in his voice, John told me.
"What about our father? Is there any new information?" I questioned, hoping and praying for some sort of progress.
"No, honey, nothing yet," he said, with desperation in his tone.
My heart is half-broken, half-joyous. Please, God, save my father. Please, I wanted to tell the man I care about the good news. I slid into the bed beside him. While he's drowning in his sleep, he's so calm and attractive. I couldn't wait for him to wake up. So, in an attempt to awaken him, I kissed him on the lips. He opened his stunning, magnificent green eyes, and he took my breath away.
