Dance Of The Soul

Katy's Point of View I was standing with Christian, he's a lawyer. He really makes me laugh with his work stories. Then his mom, Sally, came and joined us. "Good evening, Katy. What an amazing, well-planned, organized wedding." "Thank you, ma’am, I’m glad you liked it." And I smiled at her. I was trying so hard not to search for Mr. Dreamboat, my mysterious guy. I was pretending to listen to Christian while he was telling me about his client: "I swear, Katy, he gave me a hard time. One day he wanted a divorce, and the next he wanted his wife back. He was making... " I didn’t hear a word of what he said after that. I was mesmerized when I saw him coming towards us, like a teenager who had just seen her crush. I was trying to stop the eye contact. I stopped looking at him, but only for a second, and my eyes betrayed me and went directly to meet his. What’s happening to me? Christian and the Mysterious Guy greeted each other. I didn’t hear his name. I was acting careless, but actually, his presence made me shiver. I’m not afraid of him; I’m afraid of how my body is reacting to him. s**t! I AM IN DEEP s**t. We all stood there together. It was around 8:00 P.M. now. The ceremony would begin within a few minutes. We took our places and sat down. The gorgeous bride entered the room, with her blonde hair falling on her back, her white princess-style dress on, as her father walked her down the aisle. It’s so beautiful and touching how his eyes watered when they reached there and kissed each other. That’s so nice. The pastor started "Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the..." "Hello," a male voice said, breaking my concentration. It's Mysterious Guy again. It seems like he is not willing to give up. "Hi" "The wedding is so nice, and the venue is well displayed. I just found out it’s all your work. I shall recommend you to my friends. " "Thank you so much. I’m glad to hear that you liked it. " "I'd be honored if you let me dance with you tonight; otherwise, I'd never be able to forgive myself for what I've lost." He said "And what would that be?" I asked him, trying my best not to show interest in his answer. "I'll lose the opportunity to dance with the most beautiful lady in the room, and that is not acceptable." He smiled and winked at me! I laughed and rolled my eyes and said to him: "Such a cliché answer, but thank you for your effort in making it up for me..." He looks at me. I mean it, I would really be honored if you danced with me, and I wouldn’t miss the chance of looking into your eyes for a whole song and admiring them. And trust me, I will be so pissed at the DJ for not playing a much longer song. " I smiled shyly. I couldn’t resist any longer, and so I accepted his offer. Twenty-five minutes later, the wedding was over. The hostesses were waiting to show us our tables. One of them was a brunette in her early twenties, long legs, short brown hair, and plumper lips. She definitely had lip augmentation. She was trying her best to attract and get the attention of Mr. Mysterious Guy, but I could see he wasn't interested in her. I went to the bar and ordered a glass of wine, Rosé, my all-time favorite. I took the first sip, looking at the people. They were happy. It was indeed a happy ceremony. I’m so proud of my team. We all did an amazing job. Everyone I knew at the wedding was thanking me for the marvelous job we did. They were all stunned by the high standards of service we provided. I went towards my table and sat there. It was 9:26 P.M. My mom called me, but I just ignored her call. I really don’t want to answer now. I’m drinking in the cheers of everyone. The first glass was finished, so I ordered the second. At my table, they were all couples, including one lady and myself. I felt so lonely. This is what happens when you’re 29 years old, a workaholic, and you don’t like someone easily, or so you thought. Time passed, and now it's 10:17 P.M. My mom called again, and I decided to turn off my mobile and enjoy some quality time. The third glass of wine was a necessity. I took the first sip from my third glass when he showed up and came to me. Mysterious Guy's Point of View "Shall we dance?" I asked her She smiled and nodded as I took her hand and twirled her into my arms. We started to dance with her hands in mine. It’s either she drank a little too much or she started to like me somehow. At first, it was a normal slow dance, I was having good self-control when she gave me a shy smile, dimples on her cheeks were so adorable, I looked at her and then, at that moment, as we gazed into each other’s eyes while moving to the music, people dissolved, It was her and I, alone. I drew her close to my chest, and she wrapped her arms around my neck. I wanted to tell her so many beautiful words, but none would do the job of describing her beauty. So I kept quiet. I just admired her and memorized her every look. Her scent was so aromatic, so seductive, so astonishing that I was inhaling her scent like it was my oxygen. I couldn’t hold it any longer, so I came closer to kissing her. I wanted to taste her lips. I was inches away from her. It was magical when our lips touched, and her lips trembled at the same time. She opened her eyes and backed out, saying: "I can’t believe you did that. You are unbelievable. " She walked away from me, leaving me by myself on the dance floor. She went to the bar, waved at the bartender for a tequila shot, and she took it within a second. I reached there, not knowing what to say. How am I going to explain myself? What should I say? Oh, by the way, I’m not a pervert. I was just lost in the moment!? I was a little shocked by my behavior. I knew I wanted to kiss her so badly, but I didn’t know what to say at this moment with all this fire coming out of her eyes. So I decided to stay quiet. I ordered my fifth glass of whiskey and stayed away from her physically, but my eyes were watching her every move like I was watching my favorite team playing basketball.
