Shay sat up in bed looking down at a sleeping Drew. By all means she should be sleepy as well. Drew had exhausted her, but her mind refused to quiet. She had to find Sykes. He was the key to everything. To finding her kidnapper. To her freedom.
She glanced over at the clock. It wasn’t even nine o’clock. Everyone had left about an hour ago. She’d taken a long enough break.
Feeling lazy just sitting in bed Shay got out of bed. She dressed and went back to the dining room. She was missing something. Something simple to find Sykes.
“Where are you?” she whispered out loud.
The list of properties in the Las Vegas area was staggering. The odds of finding him seemed dire but she had to try. She wanted to help Drew and his team. For the first time her life she felt needed and valued
