The REASON To Be With YOU

Nathan's pov

We arrived at our camp... as we got some information that says, something unusual was happening here and so we are here to find that "some" information...

But you see... being with your best friend any situation can turn into it's opposite!

As in now we're inspecting the whole are and Neil being Neil... is in his own La La Land... his way of inspecting has it's own level, I'm telling you that... His pointing out that Or should I say suggesting that

"We could hire or train some wild animals here... and then after that is done... when they become familiar with us we can put a collar on them with a hidden camera in it.... How's that idea huhh???? " he said all of these with a straight face like seriously man...then a sigh escaped from my mouth and in question he just raised one his eyebrows...

"Hey buddy.... just be a little serious will you?? As for your suggestions I should remind you that we still have those trained dogs with us specially for this task... nah... " I told him... and his face morphed into the one which says like yeah... Gotcha...finally I understand that why these dogs are following us.

Then again his rants start like:

" Then why the hell we're here doing nothing, just following these dogs"

"Just for this we came here so farrrr.... at this camp"

"And why didn't the GA took more officers with him just the two of us.... like really??? "

"May be he thinks that we've nothing to do.... we just pass our time here & there!!! "

His rant was unstoppable but I noticed that he really got a point... this information was important that's why the GA is here personally and why did he choose only us to come with him... Is it really related to the Army....

May be some other country's spy is here spying on us secretly or it could be anything, but the thing which I'm sure about is, that this whole investigation has nothing to do with our army or enemy... because if it had... then I'd surely got an information about this...

But in the HQ no one talked about this so that's imply that they don't even know about this...

All the afternoon was spent like this Investigating & inspecting but we got nothing. It was like we got the wrong information, the GA has a distressed look on his face like he knew that there was something but he couldn't find it. On the other hand Neil was totally exhausted and mumbling to himself that

"when this torture is going to stop? ,

when he can take rest? ,

when they are planning to give him food?

& so onnn.... "

while listening to him I just chuckled

and my this movement caught the attention of both my best friend and the GA, they looked at me like I just committed heinous crime, And I stopped dead in my tracks cause I know, the GA is just about give me lecture on discipline while my best friend will deal with me later, after our GA is finished with his lecture but when he started speaking, I was beyond shock.... In the whole last 4 years, I never got a response from him like this.... he was strict but not like that he'll eat you alive but more like you should know your mistake and should shoulder your responsibilities and accept them.
