Before Gary picks up Shayla to take her home from the hospital, Gary goes shopping for Shayla. He knew her style and taste in most things. He purchased a dress in her favorite color, yellow, some silk panties, and a bra for her to wear home—a pair of classy sheer high heels and some expensive but simple silver jewelry. A couple of earrings along with her wedding ring on a silver chain for her to wear around her neck, he had all these things wrapped in a large gift box.
When he entered her hospital room, all she could do was look at the tall, well-dressed gentleman as he placed the gift box on the bed next to her. She wondered why he kept coming around and why he even cared, or why he bothered to do the things he did for her.
