Shayla looked up at Gary; she still couldn't believe she had gotten involved with him in this marriage contract. The wedding day was getting closer, and she wondered how he felt and did he want to change his mind?
"A Penny for your thoughts," Shayla said as they sat on the couch together.
"I was sitting here thinking about you, darling. Well, us, and how much I've been enjoying your company this past month. But, to be honest, I'm surprised by the two of us. I didn't know what to expect when I decided to pursue this contract marriage with you."
"What did you expect?" Shayla asked curiously.
"I didn't expect you to be so soft-spoken and ladylike even though I heard that about you. I didn't believe it. But, girl, you're adorable and a true charmer," Gary says, pinching her cheek gently.
