Born again

Chapter 4

After we got dressed a red car pulls up. Me and Jenna ran down stairs. Vickey honked her horn to let us know to come out. Jenna is Vickey’s friend. Vickey told her about the cheer tryouts. She is cheer captain. Vickey has bright green eyes and cherry red hair. She is taller than I am about 5’7 ish, without the heels she is 5’6. She had a silver sparkly dress.

When Jenna opened the door the people in the front moved to the back so we can get in. Jenna introduced me to her friends. There is Micheal he has pitch black hair. He had dark piercing brown eyes. He has toned brown skin. He was wearing a baggy grey shirt and black ripped jeans. Then there is Carlos, he likes to be funny and charming. He has bright white hair with a black stranded highlight.

It took us about 15 minutes to get to the party. When we pulled up you could hear the loud rap music playing from inside. There were lights all around the house and the trees. The house was a little newer than other houses around it. It was wooded and there were cement blocks around the house. The house looked kinda fancy but kinda not. As we get out of the car I notice the guy who helped me with my books. Jenna introduced us and we start laughing. Jenna gave us a confused look. Max looked at her and said he met me when he helped me pick up my books when I dropped them. Oh well has she met your brother yet? Jenna asks curiously. Jenna introduced me and Blake and gives him a flirty look.

We headed into the house where the party was and it was very crowded. So we made our way to the kitchen were the sodas and a bunch of other liquor and beer everywhere else. Jenna made me a drink of Pepsi and something called fireball. As I took a sip it felt like my throat was on fire. I guess that’s why it’s called fireball. Jenna bursted out laughing as she took a picture. I look at her. No delete it. I say trying to calm my throat down.

Jenna takes me to the living room where all her friends sat down. So Victoria where did you come from? Vickey asked me. Oh I’m originally from New York. I say nervously. Okay that’s pretty cool. So why move here? Vickey laughs. I don’t know it was my parent’s choice. I say following her laughter. So I heard you and max has already met before? How? Carlos asks curiously. Oh she dropped her books and I just helped her pick them up. Max explains. Mhm okay. Carlos says giving him and I a look.

Hey can we maybe talk in private. Max asks. Yeah sure. I say. He stand up and offers a hand out to me. As I take his hand he leads me down the hall. So tell me about yourself Mrs Victoria. Max says giving my hand a gentle squeeze. I smile. Okay well I’m Victoria van horn. My favorite color is green. My favorite flower is black dahlias. I’m single obviously. I say chuckling. He looks at me and laughs with me. What about you. Tell me about you. I continue. Well I’m max. My favorite color is red. I am also single. As we reach at the end of the hall we stop and look at each other.

Can I take you somewhere? Max asks slightly above a whisper. Yeah of course. I answer softly. As soon as I said that he leads me to the back door. As he opens the door for me Jenna and her friends watch as we walk out. What are you wanting to show me? I ask looking at him as he leads me to his spot. We arrive at his spot. His spot was a hot spring. It was decorated with colorful lights everywhere. There were rabbits prancing around. There were birds flying around weirdly enough. It was beautiful.

This is my favorite place to go when I need to clear my head or just relax. I call it my spring. Max says as I undo my hand from him.
