Wavering breeze infiltrate my senses when it carried the faint smell of pre rain shower, is what I felt watching the home and rainfall videos. It was showing in video suggestion when I was searching for recent news video in YouTube to gather ideas for our project’s topic given by Mr. Westin Woods himself. I found that really cool back then, collecting all these things and all.
But now I feel like a complete disaster, I totally forgot that no one really into doing this, not even my so-called warriors. But somehow, watching these rainy videos, this feeling reminds me of my time together with my dad; that cold sensation it brought with its arrival, continuous, rhythmic sound of raindrop on the window pane, slight waves of breeze hurled around with curtain, even with low intensity it felt alive, it felt warm. If it wasn’t enough, then the smell coming from oven makes it into a completely different level of life in heaven. He makes it like that.
I was totally in another world when I notice the knock in the table in front of me. Mrs. library was giving me the look of something, that I caught easily because I was literally watching the YouTube in the library. Mrs. Ashley Denfled actually, The Librarian.
“Uhm hm.” I pretend to clear my throat and scribbled something in the blank page I decided to write my ideas on like an hour ago.
“If you really wanna know more about the work you are doing then I prefer reading related newspaper every day.” She concluded with the ‘almost got -caught me red handed’ look and left me.
I saw her zooming out of my sight, then I took a sigh of relief. She is sweet actually, but she prefers discipline, which I think, I lack outside library for sure.
Newspaper, hun. I left my chair and went to look for newspaper in the library. There, I found it. Hun, of course, it’s library. I flipped through pages, politics, money, global; there I found something related to…
‘What is this? Why do I kind of heard this name before? But where?’
I felt the vibration of my phone, ah! Irritating.
I swipe up the screen lock and bundle of notifications popped up like popcorn, damn I’m going to off this notification thing forever. Scrolling down, I tap the one I thought will be important.
‘Den’ I took another close look, and almost touched the screen with my nose. That’s him, “hello, beautiful.” I read the message. I felt the sudden rush of chocolaty fussiness in my vein and I started dancing happily in my place, squeaking with utmost delight with my heart, I totally forgot about my fellow companion inside the library. Funny hormone rush, ha ha.
I awkwardly left that place and went back to my chair, holding my phone low I took another look around me. Am I going to commit some crime? No, it’s for safety, safety of my own actually. I haven’t told anyone about my relationship with Denver Novick. It’s not like I’m hiding, it’s like I need time to tell my friends about him, they usually drag me away from anyone I choose. I don’t mind actually, well I’m not going to married to whoever I choose, ha.
‘Hello, handsome.’ I typed back.
I met him online through Racheal connection, she didn’t know anything. I actually stalk him out and hooked up him with from getting to know to where I am now, technically.
Believe me if I say that I actually drool over someone leaner than my previous flames. But what can I do? His sweet talk is so sweet for me to digest and it’s just like, what we all say, magical. And I know, I didn’t believe it in first place and counting my days when I will start to lose interest in him like all others in my past.
‘Busy?’ he typed back.
‘Not for you.’ I typed, I mentally patted my back for flirting with him.
‘Good, what about evening? Are you free then?’ he asked.
‘Yep, totally free… only for you.’ What is this? Am I sugar coating him? Step back, this isn’t me at all. I cleared the message.
‘Yep, did you plan anything for this evening?’ I asked out of curiosity.
‘No, but I’d like to meet you again.’ He replied.
Awe, he wants to meet me again. He did take some liking of me then, then I won’t hold back.
‘Okay, tell me the place and time, I’ll be there.’ I replied back.
I waited, I waited, but no reply came back, maybe he got busy in something. I closed the message box than started daydreaming about him like a maniac.
shit, what would I wear, damn it, damn? Come on my sixth sense, tell me that I have a beautiful dress in my wardrobe to wear this evening. Damn me, I don’t have anything. I need to go for shopping, right now. Who do I ask? Sahara, no, no, she would definitely inquire me about this. Racheal, definitely no, she’ll find me life-size demented individual.
I can’t go now, and I have little time to prepare. Ah! I wanted to scream that time but I realise the environment I’m in and I believe I didn’t make mistake twice. I just need this school hour to finish so that I could carry on my evening plan.
I grabbed my things and left for my next class. I find Sahara coming toward my way running as Racheal followed by.
“You skipped the P.E. class?” Racheal asked me with pity.
“Yeah, you should have come and witnessed the union of our Racheal with that fat Alex of our class.” Sahara spat distastefully; she indeed didn’t like that Alex guy. That poor boy didn’t even do anything to her but whenever we meet halfway, she just took other way deliberately and I think he knows it too.
“Shut up, you jealous witch. I was there because he asked me for some kind of help not for hooking up.” Racheal defends herself.
Sahara took some moments to stare at Racheal, “do I look like some witch to you Elle?”
There the topic just arrives to fuel the old bickering flame.
“Excuse me?” someone cleared their throat behind me.
“Yes.” I turned without dropping my wicked face that was formed from watching cat fight before me. My breathed hitched up somewhere in the middle of by respiratory system.
He laughed softly, “um, where is the principal’s office?” his question sounded like the melody in my ear.
“An, just go down to the first floor, turn left and you’ll find a bald man in front of you sipping his afternoon tea, that whole right side of building belongs to respected principal.” Sahara cut off between us.
“Thank you.” He leaned towards her and slightly bends to look at me through her shoulder.
Like a gentleman he was, he respectably bows and went to the direction he inquired us about. Damn even his back is so manly.
Someone snapped their finger in front of my vision, “hey, princess. Snap out of it.” Now both Racheal and Sahara are eyeing like a hungry vulture.
“What?” I raised my eyebrows in complete disbelief, “don’t tell me I can’t even look at his way.” I simply stated this sentence just to misdirect them from their idiotic imagination.
“No, you can.” Sahara replied, “just don’t forget us.” She winked at me for some devilish information.
“Ha, seriously.” I’m really not into mood for this, I’m already busy with someone in secret. Damn this secret relationship is so much of a burden to carry out alone. Come on Haydon, pull yourself together, you can do it. Just don’t get caught up and mess up anything in this secret date of yours and yeah don’t forget about that dare.
