Unexpected Encounters

316 Words
The days that followed were a whirlwind. Ansh couldn’t stop thinking about Aria, and Aria found herself daydreaming about their conversation. Fate, however, had plans to bring them together once more. Ansh’s rigorous training took an unexpected turn when he injured his ankle during a sprint. Reluctantly, he found himself at Mercy General, under the care of none other than Dr. Aria Carter. Seeing him in the hospital was a surreal experience for Aria. She felt a mix of concern and excitement as she approached his room. “Mr. Kapoor, I didn’t expect to see you here,” she said with a smile, trying to keep the professional tone in her voice. “Neither did I,” Ansh replied, grimacing as he adjusted his position on the bed. “Guess I needed another reason to see you again.” Aria blushed, but quickly shifted into doctor mode. “Let’s take a look at that ankle.” As she examined his injury, their conversation flowed naturally, filled with lighthearted banter and genuine interest in each other’s lives. Despite the circumstances, they both felt a growing connection that couldn’t be ignored. Days turned into weeks as Ansh’s recovery progressed under Aria’s care. He admired her dedication and the way she interacted with her patients. Aria, in turn, was drawn to his determination and resilience, qualities that mirrored her own. One evening, as Aria was finishing her rounds, she found Ansh waiting for her in the hospital courtyard. “I was wondering if you’d like to have dinner with me,” Ansh said, his eyes hopeful. “I owe you for taking such good care of me.” Aria hesitated for a moment, her heart pounding. She had always been cautious about mixing her personal and professional life, but something about Ansh made her want to take a chance. “I’d like that,” she replied with a smile.
