    I headed out of my office toward the knocking sound. I mentally conceived it might have been Liz, and she just forgot her keys. The knocking noise perpetuated as I ambulated down the hall. “Just a moment,” I yelled. Liz was assiduous. I would give her that. She must not have heard me yell, as the knocking perpetuated. I made it to Liz’s desk, and I descried a manila envelope on the desk. I hadn’t optically noticed it last night. I picked it up and descried it had some weight to it. I was startled when the knocking persisted and dropped the envelope. “I’m coming,” I yelled as I headed toward the door. I froze when I saw that it wasn’t Liz standing at the door knocking.
