Attraction

Nothing was coming up, but I noticed we weren't headed in the direction of my apartment building. I wasn't sure where Wyatt's driver was headed, but I also didn't know this part of the city very well to know for sure. I continued to watch for my chance to break out of this car, and then I got lucky. I saw that we were coming up to a red light, and I hovered my hand over the door handle. "Don't even think about it," Wyatt's raspy voice said. I froze before my hand could fully make it to the handle. How in the hell did he know what I was doing? I turned my head to face him, but he wasn't even looking at me. Wyatt just sat there staring out his window, and I couldn't see his face. "Don't what?" I asked. "As soon as you give me your address, I will take you home. Or do you want just to drive the city all night?" "With you?" I asked and didn't get an answer. "I would rather be on the street alone than with you!" I spat, looking back out my window. I gave the driver the address to my work because I sure as hell didn't want Wyatt Dixon to know where I lived.                He was very mysterious, but no alarm bells went off when I was with him. I could see why people were afraid of him or why they would think he was dangerous. He leaked of pure anger and evil intent, but that still didn't mean anything to me. Maybe it was just a mask he wore because of the businessman inside. I didn't know why I was so drawn to this man, but I was going to get away as fast as possible. The driver pulled up outside the building that housed my office, and I opened the door before Wyatt's driver could fully put the car in park. "This isn't your home!" I turned abruptly at the sharp voice that came from behind me. How did Wyatt get out of the car and behind me? I didn't hear him open the door or even feel the seat shift as he got up. Then I registered what he said to me that this wasn't my home. It was clear that we were in front of a building that housed offices and not apartments, but how could he be so sure? "It is not," I quickly answered. I wasn't going to give him any more than that if he wanted to know something he was going to have to ask besides the fact that I had no intention of divulging any information to Wyatt.                I saw Wyatt open his mouth to speak again, but I just walked past him. Pulling my keys out of the small clutch and walking into the building lobby. My practice took up the whole fifth floor in the building, so I walked to the elevators and pressed the up button. Once the elevator doors slid open, I stepped inside and turned so I could push the fifth floor's button. Instead, I was met by Wyatt standing face to face with me and the elevator doors sliding shut behind him. I could feel my pulse pick up and my face heat. The elevator didn't move as neither of us never pushed a button. I opened to tell him which floor to hit. I was struck with surprise when I saw him turn and hit the button for my floor, how did he know? I mean, I had just run into Wyatt earlier that day and in a completely different building. It wasn't like we spoke very many words to each other tonight to know anything about me. Wyatt was standing before me as the elevator began its ascent to the fifth floor. I wanted to open my mouth and ask him how he knew which floor I was going to. My mouth suddenly too dry, I knew that nothing would come out if I tried to speak. Wyatt took a step forward, and I instinctively took a step back, which was of no use because I was now against the wall. I bit my lip when I saw the small smile spread across his face as I gripped the railing on the wall. I hadn't seen anything on his face except a scowl, and the smile brought a brighter blue color to his eyes.                I was mesmerized standing there, getting lost in the dark blue eyes before me. I hadn't realized I was still biting my lip till Wyatt reached up and trailed a finger across my mouth. When he pulled his finger back, I realized there was blood on it. Had I been biting my lip so hard that I drew blood without even realizing it? I wasn't sure of the answer, and right now, my brain wouldn't have been able to process anything. Wyatt placed his finger in his mouth, sucking off the blood that he wiped from my bottom lip. Apart from me wanted to be disgusted by sight in front of me. However, I wasn't able to be anything but aroused. Wyatt took another step towards me, standing flush against my body, bracketing his hands on either side of mine. "All you have to do is ask," he spoke softly. At first, I wasn't sure if he really spoke or if my brain was playing tricks on me. Then I watch as a smug smile spread across his face, and then I was furious. "What exactly do you think it is I should be asking for?" I used the railing to try to push myself up into his face as I let the anger pulse off me in waves. No wonder women hated him. He thought he could have whatever he wanted. I wasn't sure how I ended up on his list of prey, but I wouldn't stay there long.               Getting in Wyatt's face didn't do anything but make him grin even more laborious. I was trying to appear pissed off and distant, failing miserably in my task. Thankfully, we finally reached my floor, and the elevator pinged at our arrival. The doors were slowly sliding open, and I tried to step forward, assuming that Wyatt would back out of my way. No such luck! He still stood there flush against me and towering over me, looking down on me with that annoyingly sexy grin on his face. "I can tell that you want me. If you just ask, I could put us both out of our misery here." Wyatt said, slowly bending his head closer to my face. I thought he was going to kiss me just for a moment, but he stopped inches from my lips. "I will have you begging before me," he whispered against my lips. I closed my eyes for just a moment imaging what it would be like to have his glorious lips on mine. Then my mind cleared, and I realized what he had just said to me. He will have me begging before him, was he f*****g kidding me right now!                I took my hands off the railing and shoved him in the chest. I was well aware that he was much stronger than me. Wyatt, however, backed up after I pushed him because he knew what was good for him. I mentally high fived myself at the small victory I just got, dumb I realized but well worth it. "Go find someone who is interested and make her beg!" I stood there so pissed off that I couldn't stand it, as my fist opened and clenched repeatedly. I had never been a fighter than I could recall, but I wanted to do some severe damage right now. The elevator doors started to close, and I threw my arm out to stop them from closing. I didn't want to be in this closed space with Wyatt any longer, so I walked out of the elevator with keys in hand. I unlocked the office door, and once I got the door open, I froze. "Lily," Wyatt said. I realized I had frozen because I heard my name in that raspy noise I couldn't resist. I turned around with the lobby door open and saw Wyatt standing in the doorway of the elevator. Hands clasping the door jams that I could see the white in his knuckles. It looked like Wyatt was physically restraining himself from coming to me. "You can lie to yourself, but you can't lie to me! You belong to me, and I will have you!" Wyatt hissed at me. I opened my mouth to yell at him to ask him what the f**k was he talking about? Then, he let go of the door jams and stepped back into the elevator.
