Best Friend

I knew that I had never met him before, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I knew him. I was just about to turn and ask if we had met before, but then the doors slid open. A group of people awaited the elevator as it opened. The people split to allow us to exit so they could file in. I smoothed down my skirt before I started to walk forward. Then a chill shot through me when I felt a cold touch at the small of my back. We weren't touching anywhere except for the small of my back. It felt like our bodies were flushed together, though, and it was sending heat through my body. Once we reached the door, the man was kind enough to open it for me and usher me out. I didn't have a jacket because it was chilly out, but not cold enough for a coat.     Once on the sidewalk, the gentleman hailed a taxi and put me in it without a single word. I heard him tell the driver to take me anywhere I wish, and then we exchanged a glance. I bit my lip again, unsure of what was happening but also unable to speak. I don't know what happened to my voice, but it had abandoned me while I was near that man. The driver pulled away from the curb, and I was left baffled at what had just happened. The driver asked where I wanted to go, and I gave him my address. I should of went back to the office and got some more work done, but I was meeting Blake for drinks, and I wanted to change. Once I reached the building, I lived in the doorman opened the door for me while tipping his hat down. He wasn't a chatty guy, so I never pushed. I just said hello and goodbye in passing out of kindness.     Once I reached my floor and headed inside, I turned the lights on and headed towards the kitchen. I placed my bag and keys on the table before heading down the hall to my bedroom. My apartment wasn't huge, which was nice. I lived alone and didn't have a lot to upkeep on. It consisted of two bedrooms and two bathrooms. I had my own bathroom in my room, which was nice, not that I ever had any company. It had a large kitchen, which was the best part because I loved to cook and bake. They were the calming hobbies that took me to a world that existed beyond this one. The living room and dining room were of average size, and I had all the appropriate furniture. Though when I cooked, it was just me, and I ended up eating at the counters. I couldn't remember the last time I sat in the living room and just relaxed. Work kept me busy, and when I was home, I liked to relax and usually only had time to sleep anyways. I heard my phone ringing from the bedroom, and I ran to the kitchen, trying to dig it out of my bag. I saw Blake's picture and answered quickly. "Hey, Blake!" "Hey, we should try out Eclipse tonight!" he said enthusiastically. I cringed at the thought because Scott had brought up the club name earlier. Blake knew everything about it, so he was fully aware of my reserve when it came to Scott.       I didn't want to bring the fact up because Blake tried to say something to Scott in the past. They were both drunk, and it didn't go over well at all. So, I did my best to play it off that it would be a horrible idea to go to the new dance club. "Really. It is going to be crazy since it's still the new thing in town. Why don't we go somewhere else?" I asked, trying to keep the panic out of my voice. "Okay. Well, what do you have in mind? I just got cast as the lead in production, and I want to celebrate!" "Well, get your ass over here, and we will head out!" "Be there in an hour!" Blake said right before hanging up. I could hear the excitement lace his voice when he was talking. That meant he wanted to go dancing till we couldn't feel our feet. It also meant he was planning on getting drunk, and he wouldn't be doing it alone.     The one beautiful thing about being my boss is I could do whatever I wanted. If I wanted to get plastered and then go to work the next day, no one would say anything about it. Not that I would ever do that considering my line of work, but the thought was excellent. I rushed back to my bedroom so that I could hop in the shower quickly. I scrubbed my body and face fast, immediately washing my hair and rinsing before I stepped out onto the rug. I dried myself off as much as I could, to avoid getting the floor too wet. I walked over to my sink and grabbed the brush after securing my towel around my body. I started to brush my hair out as I walked to my closet. I had no idea what to wear tonight, but I knew I wanted to be cute. Since I hadn't slept the night before, I didn't have the energy to get all dolled up for work this morning. Throwing my hair into a ponytail and applying no makeup to my face. I had a pencil skirt and heels, but my shirt was plain and black. To match the darkness, I felt within me today. After seeing that guy today, I felt electrified, and I wanted to look hot. It had been a while since I have gotten laid, and my vibrator was starting to lose its appeal. Maybe tonight I could find someone to satisfy me enough to allow myself more than an hour of sleep.     I looked over my clothes and decided on a pair of skinny leather pants with my ankle-high boots. I wasn't sure on my shirt yet, so I picked out some underwear and a cute lacy bra. My hair wrapped up in the towel to dry I put on my pants and boots to see what it looked like, and It gave me an edgy look I wanted since I felt dark all day. I found a dark green corset in one of my drawers and decided to go with it. Having no straps and lacing up the back, so I had to take my bra off. The corset pushed my boobs up enough anyways. My thighs were thicker than most women, especially in Manhattan, and I had a very curvy ass. My leather pants put my ass on display just like the corset was putting my boobs on display.     I went back to my bathroom and started to apply my makeup. I went for a classic pin-up look, with a lot of eyeliner but pink and brown eye shadow. My nails were already a bright red, so I painted my lips the same bright red color. I had naturally wavy hair, but I used a curling iron to had bouncing curls to my thick dark brown hair. I took a step back to look at how I looked, and I wasn't going to lie. I looked hot! My eyeliner and eye shadow brought out the smoky gray color of my eyes. The bright red lipstick was a great contrast to my dark brown hair. When I heard a knock at my door, I had to stop looking at myself. I was pretty naturally, but when I did myself up, it usually seemed too forced. I wasn't one to overdo my clothes or makeup, but tonight, I couldn't help myself.     I yelled for him to come in, knowing that Blake was at the door as I walked down the hallway. I knew I was spot on with my look when Blake let out a loud whistle as I rounded the corner. I couldn't place why I felt dark and dangerous tonight, but I would play it to my advantage! "Damn!" Blake said, acting like his hand got burned when he reached out towards me. "I know we are friends, but I can't help the b***r I got when you walked in here." "Blake!" I said, laughing. "So, where are we going?" I asked, rubbing my hands together. "You will find out when we get there sexy!" He told me when he pushed me out the door. He caused me to jump forward when he smacked my ass after I had passed him. We were both laughing as he was locking my door before we headed towards the elevator.     Blake and I tried to date shortly after we met, but that didn't go very well. We have all the right chemistry, just not any of the passion. We kissed, and neither of us felt anything romantic, even though when you saw us together, you would think we were a couple. We headed out the door, and Blake hailed a cab for us. Once we were in, Blake gave the driver the address, and we were on our way. The neighborhood was familiar when I heard the address, but I didn't know any clubs in the area. It was just outside of Manhattan, even though we wouldn't have to cross the bridge to get there. I wanted to ask him where he was taking me in the world, but I trusted Blake wholly. I knew that no matter where we ended up that we would have a fantastic time. When the cub pulled up to the curb, I looked around to see if I could spot anything familiar. "Where are we?" I asked when we both stepped out of the cab.
