Rekindling

           I was awoken by my bedside alarm clock blaring in the air. I rolled over and patted my hand down on the alarm. Then I realized that I had hit the mattress instead of my bedside table. I looked up, realizing that I was still in the middle of my mattress. When I looked around the room, there were no signs of the guys. I quickly sat up in the bed, pushing my hair out of my face. Was it all a dream? I asked myself as I bit down on my bottom lip. “Ouch.” When I bit down on my lip, it hurt, then I could taste blood in my mouth. I darted out of bed and hurried to my master bath. I still hadn’t turned off my alarm clock, but the blaring was a distant noise at this point. I flicked the light on in the bathroom and went to my mirror.
