Gina’s head pounded like someone was banging on it with a plastic mallet. The way she used to a***e the xylophones in her high school band. She closed her eyes, but that only made a terrible sense of vertigo overtake her. Owen glanced at her and back at the blueprints. Gina couldn’t get a read on him, and she thought about that microsecond where he’d kissed her earlier that morning. At least she didn’t have to wonder if he liked her. A tiny smile touched those same lips Owen’s had, and that caused her head to hurt too. “I don’t think I can drive myself home,” she finally said. “How soon are you heading out?
