The Prince Of Andovia

“Elsa? Is that really you?” Alexander asked, touching my face like I just rose from the dead. “Yeah, it’s me Alex.” I replied. “You won’t understand how glad it makes me to see you again.” He announced, pulling me into his arms. I felt really warm being this close to him. I hesitated at first, but with a strong resolve, I held his back with my hands hugging him back. I could feel his sculpted back on my palm. After a while he let go, then took a good look at me. “You look more beautiful than ever.” He added, letting go of my shoulders. “Thank you Alexander, but I must admit I’m quite dissapointed in you. You never tried once to look for me.” I replied, putting a fake pout. “But you said I shouldn’t come back to find you.” “Even if I did, you should’ve tried at least.” “I’m really sorry Elsa, but I had a lot of problems thereafter.” “Oh really, I bet you didn’t loose your mom.” “What! I’m so sorry Elsa.” He answered with a sad gloom over his face. “Come with. Let’s go somewhere private.” He said, yanking my hand and taking me down the hall. We had soon reached a room that bore the number 4099, we entered inside and he locked it from within. “I only had one encounter with you, but you changed my life and perspective forever. I always think of you throughout this one year. I always hoped you were doing just fine. I feel bad not being there for you, through these struggles. How did your mom die?” It was amazing to see Meanie acting all caring now. I recall how rude he was at first, although that was just a facade. He was really nice later on, even listening to everything I had to say. It was strange I felt okay opening up to him about that, but I could feel this connection already with him like I knew him long before then. I guess I was mistaken to think he didn’t care for not coming back. “It’s been a long year for me Alex. I became a night vigilante, saving lives, fighting rogue werewolves and criminals, even evolving but along the way… I lost my mom to the system… with all my strength i still wasn’t able to save her. They killed her in such a cruel way.” I said, my voice trembling as tears welled up. He walked up to where I was sitting on the bed, holding and hugging my head carefully. It was the most peace I felt in a while. I hugged him back circling my arm. “I don’t even know if my dad is okay, I left him yesterday alone… they killed Brownwell for going back to get me after I turned down the admission, it was because of him that I believed my father would be safe. I swore I would kill her, Lauren. It was her that killed him.” I answered, looking ahead. “I think there is something you need to know first.” He replied, crossing his arms. “Alex, what is it?” “First you need to no I’m a prince. The prince of Andovia.” He said, looking me dead in the eye. “So Lauren is your sister?” “Yes, she is. Lauren is currently a level nine student, she’s the student council President.” “What does that have to do with me?” I said, letting go of him and walking to the window. “I understand that you’re angry but you need her on your side, and you can’t beat her as it is Elsa, you still have a long way to go, look i just dont want you endangering yourself so early.” “So you think I’m weak then?” “Thats not what I meant Elsa and you know that.” “Just forget it Alex, I don't expect you to be exactly supportive of me trying to kill your sister.” I said, letting out a long breath. “What was the crown prince of Andovia, a pure blood doing in a wretched country like Andovia?” I asked, recalling the night we met. “I was on a mission.” “There’s more to it.” “Elsa… fine. The family of an alpha carries a unique range of abilities, traits that set them apart from other werewolves. It’s the privilege of being born of pure blood. The problem is… I haven’t awakened mine. I was getting a lot of pressure from my family, so I decided to embark on a dangerous journey, where my life would be threatened, pushing me to the edge where I would be able to awaken.” “Why would you go to Bulgaria, there are hardly any werewolves that can pose a threat to you? Besides, Andovia and Estonia have the strongest werewolves.” “Yes, you’re correct. But, Estonia and Andovia aren’t really the best of friends. We have been having clashes recently over the land border so going there would be inviting trouble for my family. You should know that Bulgaria has the most dangerous criminals confined there. I wasn’t just roaming the streets of Bulgaria, I faced off some of the most dangerous criminals in the prison sites, pushing myself to my very limit. That wasn't all. Using my status as a prince, I bypassed the guild's protocols and gained entry into the Elshire forest, where I fought monsters up to god-tier level.” I leaned against the window ledge, my eyes fixed on Alex. His emerald eyes gazed at mine gently. Paying close attention, I noticed the remarkable resemblance he had with his sister, the serious look always etched on their faces, which someone could mistake for grumpy. He had just revealed to me how the alpha family had abilities unique to each one. It made me remember the skill I had. I could release my nails from my hands, sending them in fast lightning strikes to eliminate my enemy. I had named the ability clawshot, it was really handy as it could literally decapitate the target in seconds, but I could only use it thrice. I was proud of the effort he demonstrated to discover his ability and become a stronger werewolf. I guess mine was possible since I've always been an alpha. But could I tell Alex what I really am? “Did you uncover your ability?” I asked. “Yeah, I did in a near death encounter with a spine like creature in the Elshire forest. I think it was a god-tier level monster, I was almost killed, but during my last few seconds I felt myself growing in size till my head stuck out of the trees. I squashed the monster in seconds. I call it the Hound.” He grinned as he spoke. “Wow, Alex, that's really great.” “No one in Constantine’s generation has ever possessed this ability before. Until me. My father was so proud of me… for the first time I felt part of the family again.” He added. This brought back memories of my dearest mother. I wondered if she would have been proud of the actions I’ve done so far. “Take me to the combat class, I’m already late.” “Okay…” I stood up opening the door, walking out, he followed suit, closing it behind him. The conversation reminded me of my mom, I had always dreamt of making her proud but unfortunately that dream was cut short. He walked up to me and smiled then walked ahead. Each time I got so close to him, it steers a feeling within me which I still couldn’t explain. Two massive double doors stood before us as we arrived. “This is the combat hall room but before you head in. though, can you tell me your room number?” He said, almost begging. “Figure it out.” I answered, turning and entering the class. “Oh my lady, care to let us in on the good news. You seem to be quite happy about something even though you’re late.”
