Chapter 1: The Stranger in the Café

Amelia had no idea a simple morning coffee would change her life forever.

“Watch where you're going!” she snapped as hot coffee spilled across her blouse.

She looked up and froze.

Standing in front of her was the most infuriatingly handsome man she had ever seen. Tall, confident, and dressed in an expensive black suit, he looked completely unfazed by what had just happened.

“You walked into me,” he said calmly.

Amelia frowned. “Excuse me? You clearly weren’t paying attention either.”

A few people in the café turned to look.

Instead of apologizing, the stranger simply handed her a handkerchief.

“You’re impossible,” he said quietly.

“And you’re arrogant,” she shot back before storming out.

She never expected to see him again.

But fate had other plans.

The next morning, Amelia walked into the biggest opportunity of her life her new job at a top company.

Her excitement vanished the moment she stepped into the conference room.

Because sitting at the head of the table… was him.

The stranger from the café.

Only this time, everyone stood up.

And someone whispered the words that froze her completely:

“The CEO is here.”
