Nathan’s POV.
I couldn’t believe my ears. The king had just said Lunaria was getting married. The words hit me like a blow, echoing in my head until I could barely hear anything else.
This was hard on me.
I had to wonder if there was any chance at me even getting back at her.
My wolf even decided to howl in pain at that piece of news.
It was disheartening knowing that the woman I really loved and had wronged was gone from my life and was slipping even further away with this news.
I started thinking about who it was going to be.
I wondered if it would be that man I met with her at the mall and the last nights party.
I tightened my grip on the glass in my hand but it wasn’t enough; I felt it slipping through my fingers even before I heard it shatter on the floor.
