Nathan’s POV
The King’s silence made my insides churn in protest and all the courage I had gathered disappeared like it was never there.
While still standing there, the King just had to snap his fingers and then some guards hurried into his office like they had been expecting his summon.
“Take her to her bedroom.” He said and at once the guards did like he had commanded.
Now left alone with the King, I was still terrified but somehow I was able to keep my cool, hoping I didn't get on his bad side as Lunaria wasn't here to defend me.
The moment the door closed, I suddenly returned to consciousness and my response to this was to go after them but the King grabbed my arm, causing me to halt.
