As the news spread like wildfire that Lena's parents were on their way to the school, Max's anxiety grew. He had been dreading this moment, knowing that he would have to face the consequences of his actions.
In a panic, Max quickly gathered his belongings and made a hasty exit from his dormitory room. He didn't know where he was going, but he knew he had to get out of there before Lena's parents arrived.
Meanwhile, the principal, Mrs.Smith, had been searching for Max, wanting to have a word with him about the situation. When he couldn't find Max in his room, he asked one of the students, Alex, to go and look for him.
Alex walked into Max's dormitory room, calling out his name, but there was no response. The room was empty, with no sign of Max's personal belongings.
Alex quickly ran back to the principal office to let her know that Max was nowhere to be found.
The principal quickly instruct Alex to tell the other students to keep an eye out for Max.
As the search for Max continued, the tension at the school grew. Everyone knew that Max was in trouble, and they couldn't help but wonder what would happen next.
Max had never felt more alive. He was surrounded by his new friends, a rough-around-the-edges gang that had taken him under their wing. They had met on social media, bonding over their love of gangster rap and Mafia movies.
Now, Max was living the life he had always fantasized about. He was doing drugs, abusing alcohol, and staying up late into the night, partying with his new friends.
They would cruise the streets in their souped-up cars, music blasting, and Max would feel like he was on top of the world. They would hang out in abandoned warehouses, drinking and smoking, and Max would feel like he had finally found his tribe.
His new friends were a rough bunch, but they had taken a liking to Max. They saw something in him that they liked - a willingness to take risks, to push the boundaries, and to live life on the edge.
As the nights turned into weeks, Max found himself becoming more and more entrenched in the gang lifestyle. He was making new friends, having new experiences, and feeling more alive than he ever had before.
Max shrugged off the thought of school and education. He didn't care about getting good grades or going to college. All he wanted to do was have fun and live in the moment.
He had always been a bit of a rebel, never wanting to conform to the norms of society. And now, as he was surrounded by his new gang friends, he felt like he had finally found his true calling.
"School is for nerds," Max would often say, laughing and joking with his friends.
Maria and Carlos arrived at the school, They were still in shock about Lena's pregnancy and were still trying to process it.
As they walked into the school office, they were greeted by the principal
The principal, looked at Maria and Carlos with a sympathetic expression.
"I'm afraid I have some difficult news to share with you," she said gently. "As you know, our school has a policy regarding pregnant students."
"What does the policy say?" Carlos asked.
"Unfortunately, our policy states that pregnant students are not allowed to attend school. I'm afraid we'll have to ask you to take Lena home."
"What? That's not fair!"
Maria's face turned red with anger.
"This is ridiculous!" she exclaimed. "You're punishing Lena for being pregnant? That's not fair."
Carlos stood up,
"We understand that the school has policies, but this one is outdated and discriminatory. We demand to see the school board and discuss this further."
The principal shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
"I understand your concerns, but I'm afraid the policy is clear. Pregnant students are not allowed to attend school. However, I can offer to set up a meeting with the school board to discuss possible alternatives."
"Principal Smith, I understand that the school has a policy regarding pregnant students. But I have to ask, why is it that only my daughter, Lena, is being punished?" Maria asked.
what about the father of the baby? Max, the boy who got my daughter pregnant? Why isn't he being held accountable?" Maria demanded
The tension in the room was palpable as the three of them stood there, locked in a silent standoff.
Carlos placed a calming hand on Maria's arm.
"Let's hear her out," he said. The principal startled"
And who said Lena is the only one being punished? The both of them are getting the same punishment, not like we're uneasy or being unfair to Lena, pregnant students are not just allowed to attend school, she won't be able to focus on her education
"I understand this may come as a shock, but our policy is in place to protect the student and the school. We can provide Lena with alternative education options, such as homeschooling or online courses."
Maria and Carlos looked at each other, unsure of what to do.
"Thank you. We will take her home ."
The principal nodded"
"Of course. I'll call Lena to the office."
A few minutes later, Lena walked into the office, looking nervous.
"Mom? Dad? What's going on?"
"Lena, we need to talk to you about something. Let's go home."
Lena's eyes widened.
"What's wrong?"
Carlos gently took Lena's arm.
"We'll talk about it at home.
The three of them walked out of the school, the tension between them palpable.
As they drove home, Lena's anxiety grew.
"What's going on, Mom? Dad?"
Maria and Carlos exchanged a glance before Maria spoke up.
"We'll talk about it when we get home, Lena."
The rest of the drive was silent, each of them lost in their own thoughts.
When they arrived home, Abuelo and Abuela were waiting in the living room, their faces filled with concern.
"Lena, m'ija, welcome home my child," Abuelo said, his voice gentle.
"What's going on?"
Maria took a deep breath.
"Lena, we know about the baby."
Lena's face fell, and she burst into tears.
She knelt before her parents,
"Mom...Dad...I'm so sorry," she sobbed, her voice trembling.
Lena shook her head, tears streaming down her face.
"No, Mom...I was so stupid. I let this happen. I'm sorry for disappointing you and Dad,"
Her eyes cast downward in shame.
"Abuelo...Abuela..I'm so sorry,"
Maria and Carlos looked at each other, their faces filled with a mix of sadness and concern.
"I'm sorry for being so reckless and irresponsible. I'm sorry for getting pregnant and causing you both so much worry and stress," Lena said, with tears on her face.
Carlos's expression softened, and he opened his arms.
"Lena, m'ija, we love you no matter what. We're not angry with you, we're just worried about you and the baby," Carlos said.
Maria nodded in agreement.
"We just want what's best for you, Lena. And we'll support you every step of the way," Maria said.
Lena felt a wave of relief wash over her as she hugged her parents tightly.
"Thank you, Mom...Dad. I promise to be more responsible from now on," Lena said.
who's the father of the baby?" looking down at her hands.
"I...I don't know if I should say," Lena stammered.
"Lena, we need to know. Who's responsible for this?"
Lena took a deep breath before answering.
"Max...Max is the father."
Abuelo's eyes widened.
"Max? That boy from school?"
Lena nodded.
"Yes, Abuelo. We've been dating for a while."
"We need to talk to Max's parents. This affects both families."
"I'll call them and set up a meeting."
Lena looked worried.
"What's going to happen?
The principal, Mrs. Smith, sat at her desk, phone in hand, as he spoke with Max's parents.
"I'm afraid Max has gotten himself into a bit of a situation," Mr. Smith explained.
Max's mother, Mrs.Ela, laughed.
"Oh, that's ridiculous," she said. "Max would never get a girl pregnant. He's too responsible for that."
Mr. Smith sighed.
"I'm afraid the evidence suggests otherwise, Mrs. Ela. Lena is pregnant, and Max has admitted to being the father."
Max's father, spoke up.
"That's not possible. Max would never do something so reckless. You must be mistaken."
Mr. Smith's patience was wearing thin.
"I assure you, Mrs Ela we are not mistaken. Max and Lena have both confirmed that they were in a relationship and that Max is the father of Lena's baby."
Mrs. Ela's tone turned icy.
"Well, even if that were true, which I highly doubt, Max is not responsible for that girl's pregnancy. She must have been sleeping around with other boys too."
"I'm afraid that's not the kind of attitude we tolerate here at this school, Mrs. Ela, We expect our students and their parents to take responsibility for their actions."
Max parents' arrogance and refusal to accept responsibility for their son's actions only added fuel to the fire.
