Chapter 2 - A Life On The Run

Faith Fell asleep as a wolf she refused to shift not knowing where the next threat would come from or when, she had nightmares about what she did and how she tore them to shreds, the alphas throat she ripped out with her teeth all you heard was a crunch a huge yelp then nothing as she threw his lifeless body across the floor then spat out his throat, she ripped out the hind leg of a beta by biting then twisting until his lower leg snapped off and tore away from the rest of his body... his blood going everywhere ...his screams before he went limp and died .... she woke up breathing fast ' why did i do it why did we have to fight' she mumbled to herself before she got up , She ran as far and as fast as she could arguing with her wolf eventually she slowed the pace looking for water as she couldn't shift back, even if she wanted to she had no clothes since she left them behind. As Faith looked around to see if anyone was following she realized she was in a clearing, 'where do i go now' she thought, she had completely no idea where she was other than far from home and far from anywhere she knew. Faith walked through the clearing pushing through the pain as she healed, she froze when she heard a howl it sent chills down her spine she looked around again but couldn't see anyone, she took a deep breath before continuing to walk through the clearing she saw a thicket ahead and trotted towards it, she slowed down and walked through it brambles and branches clawing at her face and her fur she kept her head down breathing slow, when she looked up she saw a dark clustered woodland, Faiths wolf |:| you i***t we should have stayed home|:| Faith |:| what and be married off to someone we don't know i don't think so|:| Faiths Wolf |:| well it would have been better than this |:| faith once again ignored her wolf. She heard the howl again all of her fur standing on edge her skin tinging faith sniffed the air and she could faintly smell mint apple and dirt ' could it be our mate' she sighed before shaking her head and pushing herself forward when all she wanted to do was run towards to shell as fast as she could, however she couldn't risk that right now she was on the run and had to dodge every wolf possible and disappear for a while she couldn't risk getting caught not now.
Faith was alone for months she was skin and bones by the time she reached the mountains hoping no packs were there it was cold it was quiet and it was beautiful picturesque views wherever she looked as the nightly mist ascended down the mountains across the clearing and through the woodlands the full moon was stunning in the perfectly clear sky surrounded by stars, she carried on walking until she walked into a small stream, she lowered her head and drank slowly and peacefully listening to the wildlife as they walked around above and below her. Faith sighed in relief to finally be alone and felt safe for the first time, that is until she looked up and saw bright orange eyes staring at her through the darkness her sense of smell had gone, she stared back at the other wolf her emerald green eyes and her blood stained fur glistening in the moonlight, that's the last thing she remembered before her vision faded to black. She was trapped in her nightmares of her first day alone and how she tore the pack apart once again apart from this time it was different this time she saw her fathers grey wolf he sent rogues after faith wanting her dead, she could hear his wicked laugh echoing through her dreams his green eyes shining, then the shine fading away as she slaughtered them all.
When faith finally woke up she was in what looked like a hospital room in her human form wearing a over sized t shirt her hair hung out loose down her back, she was to weak to move or speak, Man one ' oh good your finally awake', she looked at him here eyes wide. 'its OK i'm Caleb, i'm the packs Dr' ... Faith looked at him quizzically, Caleb recognized that look and answered ' we're the crescent moon pack, our alpha doesn't know you are here hes away on business' Faith mouthed an Oh ' Eat this then rest' Caleb said placing a plate of venison steak and mash down on her table with a large glass of apple juice, safe to say she devoured the lot then fell asleep, she didn't dream at all the woke to the scent of Mint apple and dirt her eyes fluttered open that's when she heard his voice it was husky yet smooth he was clearly trying to stay quiet not to wake her, Man two ' Caleb what is she doing here i told you no outsiders to come into our territory' ... ' but Hades sir she would have died if we left her out there' .... 'that's alpha to you' he snapped back at Caleb. Faith slowly and silently got out of bed and opened the door she lent against the door frame and with her weak rough voice said ' one i can hear you, two thanks for caring and three if i was well enough i would punch you right now' that's when it hit them both, the one they had both been looking for each other she hoped Hades hadn't caught her scent he inhaled through his nose, 'mate' he said softly his amber eyes wide and glowing, Faith did the same thing their inner wolves going crazy 'mate' she said quietly her voice still course, Faith would look into Hades eyes all day if she could however Hades had different plans, it wasn't until Hades picked her up to put her into bed that she realized she wasn't wearing any underwear, there wolves then were fighting to get out, Hades fought himself every second to not take her there and then but Faith was not strong enough.
weeks went by before Caleb released Faith into the Alphas house everyday Hades would visit her bringing different foods, drinks and treats he even went shopping for her to get her some clothes and underwear, Faith one day slept in forgetting it was the day she could leave the infirmary room, ' hello my love' Hades said gently stroking his mates face she woke up suddenly and broke his wrist. ' oh my god H..Hades i'm so sorry, i....i didn't realize it was you' Faith cried, Caleb came running in 'well at least we know she can look after herself he said laughing whilst making sure the alpha healed properly. 'Faith it's OK, it's not your fault you warned me not to wake you' Hades smiled at her even through the pain of his bones healing. Once Caleb cleared Hades to go home they walked arm in arm up the driveway hidden in the mountains she trusted Hades even though she hadn't known him long, when she looked up she gasped at a huge stone castle, Hades looked at Faith 'Welcome home Faith' he said softly she looked up at him and smiled, she hadn't realized how tall he was, her head didn't even pass his shoulder he was broad and well muscled, you could see them through his maroon shirt that he put with black jeans and then she noticed his boots they were the same as her army ones that she had left behind then she looked back up to his face his medium length hair was wavy and all over the place it was dark brown/black, his chiseled jaw line his full mouth and how it curved at the edges her mate was like a masterpiece she got butterflies just looking at him and every time they touched it was electrifying, he looked down at Faith clearly admiring her, his eyes slowly looking over her curves now she was back to her normal self, there eyes met sparks ran through them both like electricity.
