Selene’s POV The problem with powerful men was that they always assumed they were the most dangerous wolves in the room. Damon believed it. Nathan believed it. Most Alphas believed it. Interesting. Very interesting. Because while they focused on armies and borders, they often overlooked something much simpler. Information. And information was usually what won wars. Not claws. Not strength. Not crowns. Information. I stood inside the intelligence hall studying reports that had arrived throughout the day. Most were useless. Rumors. Half-truths. Exaggerations. The usual nonsense scouts collected whenever kingdoms grew nervous. Normally I would have dismissed them immediately. Today, I couldn't. Because something felt wrong. The attack on the border village bothered me. A lot.
