Harper's POV
"Long live the King," I hear the men shout as we near the castle.
I did not sleep last night, and I am glad Raven and I had that talk. I wanted to talk to her alone. Mason had woken up about an hour before we arrived, but I pretended to be asleep. I was not in the mood to be questioned again, and I hate lying to him, but it is necessary because I want to know he loves me for who I am. Angelica left us before Mason woke up, and I know it was to complain to his mother. The king's mother does not like me, and she will not be happy that Mason accepted me. I know they are plotting something. I do not know what to expect when I get home.
The carriage comes to a halt, and Mason gets out. He looks around and asks one of the men where General Blackwell is.
