Harper's POV Angelica slowly rises back onto her paws, shaking the dust from her thick fur as a low growl rumbles deep inside her chest. I can see the frustration burning in her golden eyes. She has attacked me over and over again, yet she has not managed to lay a single claw on me. Her pride has taken a greater beating than her body, and that is far more dangerous. A proud wolf does not like being humiliated before an entire kingdom. The arena has fallen strangely quiet. Only moments ago, the warriors had been cheering for their General, convinced she would end this duel within seconds, but now not a single voice can be heard.
