Hi, I'm Anna. Anna Hastings. I was born and raised in Florida. but when I turned 16, my mom had moved me and my siblings to California. I never really have been a social person, but I try my best. Ever since I moved, it has been hard being the "New Girl".   I'm 22 now. I live on my own and in a small apartment that I had rented a few weeks ago. Sadly my mom and siblings had died on my 18th birthday, due to a car crash. I still am not very sure how it happened. I was on vacation since it was my birthday.       Moving into my apartment was the worse. But it was all I could afford. I never really knew my father. He was never in my life. But I did know he was working for a rich business. My mother on the other hand was poor. She barely was even able to pay for rent. But I loved her to death. She was there when I needed her. Once I get home from a small coffee shop it's already dark out so I put my long brunette hair into a tight bun and strip down and hop into my bath. 30 minutes go by relaxing in the tub. Eventually, I get out of the tub and put on a simple t-shirt and some shorts. I sit down on my couch and flip through some channels. With nothing to watch I turn off the tv and grab a book on the desk next to me. I end up reading for hours and falling asleep.     The next morning I wake up to my phone buzzing loudly under me. I groan and pick up the phone. I look at the time. Its 8:30 am. I get off my couch and put the book back where it was.  I make my way to the bathroom, combing my hair from where it was tangly. I get inside the shower and start washing my hair and body. After I get done I wrap my hair up in the towel. I see nothing through the foggy mirror except my blue eyes. Everyone had always said my eyes light up the room. I dry the rest of my body and go to my dresser. I pull out a nice green crop top shirt and some ripped jeans. I grab my phone and purse and make my way out of my apartment. I walk to the coffee shop which is right down the road. Once I get there I walk in.      "Hey, Anna!"  Jenni, the waiter (aka) one of my best friends waves and calls me over. Jenni was the one friend I had really made since I've been here. After saying hey I go and sit on the barstool.  "Iced vanilla-"I start to say but Jenni finishes the sentence for me.      "Iced vanilla latte with added sugar and Carmel.  Yes yes, I know!" Jenni chuckles and starts making my coffee.      Sometimes I wondered why Jenni liked me, and why she was working at a coffee shop. She could do so much better. She was 2 years younger than me. She had short blonde hair that she normally kept back with a headband. She always wore elegant clothes that fitted her body perfectly. Everyone fell in love with her green eyes too. She had a lot of money too, which she normally spends on me when I go shopping with her. I hate that she spends it on me but she knows I've been through a lot.      "Here you go" Jenni hands me my coffee smiling. I smile back and nod while taking the coffee and sipping it.      "Girl" Jenni looks at me in a strange way. "You need a job. Now." She laughs.  She wasn't wrong. I had a job, but I quit because it was too much for me and I wasn't even making good money. After talking to Jenni for a bit, I decided it's time to go home. As I'm walking home I look upon a billboard poster. My eyes widen seeing my father's name. I quickly take a picture of the billboard and run home. Like I had said before my father was working for a rich business. But I didn't think it would be in my town! I didn't hate my father. He was just never in my life. Then I knew what I was going to do.
