Jamie's POV
Alex pulled out my chair for me to sit and I gave him a soft smile. He held my hand under the table to calm my nerves. We ordered drinks and I breathed out to calm my rapidly beating heart.
"Jamie, you okay?" Matthew asked me.
I looked up at Alex and he chuckled. He looked at the alphas. "He's super nervous."
Jack smiled over at me. "You don't need to be. You're going to be the beta alongside us. We'll get to know each other really well, so there's nothing to be nervous about."
I nodded, looking down at my lap. Alex tightened his grip on my hand and I looked up at him. "Are you okay?" He whispered in my ear.
"I'm okay."
We started talking about my job and they actually seemed pretty interested. I chuckled when Matthew asked me what inventory was.
