“Psst! Jennifer! Jennifer!”
As much as she generally detested interacting with her worst enemy, Jen couldn’t wait for the confrontation this time.
After the previous evening there was a secret hilarity to everything about this wedding, even the supposedly icily uncomfortable rehearsal they’d all just endured. Seeing Bridezilla finally turn toward her and beckon imperiously for a private word made this maid of honor almost betray the whole game. Somehow she contained the wicked snicker that tried to escape.
This was going to be priceless. Glancing around at the rest of the cast gathered for the morrow’s farce, Jen took a quick assessment before following her sister toward a nearby empty anteroom. Mustn’t give anyone the correct impression…
