Carina*Dreaming*
The moment I opened my eyes, I knew right away I was dreaming. The scenery before me was so surreal. It was like standing in a field of fireworks. I was blown away, by the beautiful scenery before me. Everything about the view in front me felt completely out of place, the land's earth magic felt so familiar yet, not my own, almost as if it was mixed with another's essence, but nonetheless, it touched my heart and resonated within my soul.
It wasn't just the sights that pleased my senses. It was the light, cool breeze of wind that gently caressed my skin, the exquisite scent of the thousands and thousands of flowers, the soft flower petals that lay beneath my feet. Massaging and softly stroking my ankle, and the eerie, enchanting lullaby the flowers sung in harmony almost as if to say Welcome home The field itself was set ablaze, by the hundreds of colors that swayed in the breeze. The sky above stretched as far as the eye could see. The stars were like a birthstone-blue and beautiful, all a-glitter in their heavenly finery.
I looked down, and noticed, I was wearing a long white vintage nightgown, Which was strange considering I never wore one to bed. I tore my gaze away from the nightgown and focused on my surroundings. Everything around me felt like dream, it had to be a dream. The beauty before me was so alien-like, yet so familiar. The contrast of the glowing flowers against the dark gloomy atmosphere, made everything else seem like a distant memory.
The flowers were wildly swaying, caught in the breeze. I saw every flower in the world. They were dazzling floral shapes and colors. Each flower a marvel of its own design. Among the thousands of flowers before me, one stood out the most. It's blue petals glowing under the moon, surrounded by its magical essence.
The RAQIIS!. One of the world most ancient, rarest flower. Legend says it was the first flower to ever bloom when magic was released to the world. One drop of its essence and one could harness powers far greater, than that of the old gods.
Why was a flower like that growing here? Where was here? Where am I?
I could feel my self-pulling back, but something was holding me. Keeping me trapped here.
That was when I felt him. I knew it was him, it had to be him. It was like he was a part of me, a very deep part of me. He was anxious, I could feel that much. I saw a movement from the corner of my eye, he was here with me. Hiding in the shadows, like he always did. I breathed in heavily and breathed out again.
" Care to explain who you are, and what am doing here? "
I asked, staring off into the empty space. I waited for an answer or even a sound, but nothing came. It was quite like a graveyard. I kept walking slowly towards, his direction but stopped when I felt, a soft breeze on my neck.
I turned around and saw no one. I then felt something touch the top my head, I hesitatingly grabbed whatever it was and brought it down to have a look. I chuckled when I saw what it was, it was crown made out of flower petals.
" Very cute, now mind coming out of the shadows " I asked again, spinning around in circles.
" This part of the island is my favorite. A field of blossoming flowers, that never wither and bloom all throughout the year. Apparently, the fragrance is said to produce aphrodisiac and is very hard to resist the urge to mate. Another Interesting fact about this place, up until 25 years ago. This entire part of the island was barren and lifeless. "
His voice was deep, yet very hypnotic. He had a very attractive accent. Almost a mix of Russian and Italian. I squinted my eyes hoping to get a closer look. I gasped and breathed in heavily. Never in million years, have I ever thought of describing a man as beautiful, yet somehow I couldn't describe the man before me as anything but utterly inhumanly beautiful.
He had Long silky smooth silver-hair that fall over his shoulders like a waterfall. Narrow violet half-lidded eyes stared back at me with a gleam of delight, an aquiline nose complemented his prominent cheekbones. The second thing I noticed right away, was that he was half-naked, and he had the most jaw-dropping muscular well-built body I'd ever seen on a man, that wasn't a Greek statue with a small p***s, like the ones they displayed at the local ancient Greek museum.
We stared at one another, neither one of us saying anything. His violet eyes taking every inch of me. He finally managed to look away from my breasts, in time to catch me glaring daggers at him. I couldn't blame the man. After all, I was checking him out too.
I Cleared my throat, ignoring everything he said. I managed to steer the conversation about what I wanted to talk about.
" Y-you are the presence I always feel nearby, but can never see!" I said. His unblinking half-lidded eyes gazing deep into my soul. He gave me grin, before he plucked a beautiful flower off the field and held it towards me, his eyes expectant.
" Am Kaizel Radomir, The first. it's pleasure to finally meet you again, my bride." His tone was little weary, but cheerful nonetheless. I cautiously took the flower from him, eyeing him suspiciously. He reached out for my hand. I stepped back and he looked disappointed. In the blink of an eye, I saw his charming smile, instantly change into a scowl.
What's the last thing you recall? " He curiously commanded, his voice soft and measured like he was afraid I'll bolt out of here any second.
I closed my eyes and tried to recall my last memory. It was like a trigger went off in my mind instantly. My emotions turned cold, fearful, and anxious... I backed away from him. Afraid of what I might recall. I knew whatever memory I was trying so hard to push away, would eventually break me.
He walked towards me, slowly and with every step, he took towards me, I was torn between letting him come near or backing away from him. He had a small smile lurking in the corner of his lips, almost as if he was repressing a smile.
" Remember! you must remember Carina. Just because you choose not to; doesn't make it go away. The only way you can move forward is to accept your crime.
Regret washed over me, like a tidal wave. I instantly recalled what I was trying so hard to suppress. Lucas The look on his face before I lost my conscious sent shiver down my spine. The guilt of what I have done sat heavily on my chest. What I had done I could never un-do. I could make amends in subtle ways, but confession was out of the question, even to Mira. my own best friend. Then I suddenly recalled a memory of my mother trying to stop me.
"She knew! this was going to happen. b-but how? " I asked trembling with fear. I could feel my knees growing weak before they gave out on me. I never managed to hit the ground, for I was already in his arms. His violet eyes staring down at me with so many unspoken emotions. There was something familiar about those eyes. Moments passed before I came to my senses. His hands were still warped my waist, holding me tightly. His nose buried down my neck, sniffing and rubbing himself all over me, almost as if he was trying to memorize my scent.
" Get off me! What the hell do you think you are doing? " I yelled at him, Embarrassed and flustered all at the same time. He immediately let me go and retreated back. My n*****s were very perky, and tight. I suddenly felt naked, before him. I wrapped my hands around myself in hopes of covering my n*****s, and not look intimidated by him at all.
" Forgive me...The scent of your blood is hard to resist when you are standing this close to me" He pleaded, He smiled faintly at me and suddenly changed the subject.
" I apologize this is how you had to find out. Your mother was supposed to tell you everything when you came of age. None of this would have if you'd known you were betrothed and bonded to another."
He continued, staring intensely at me. There was a certain glint in his eyes, that suddenly made me uncomfortable. Not only was he largely composing and intimidating to look at, It was the familiar tone he used whenever he spoke to me, that made very, very uncomfortable.
" What are you speaking of? My mother never said anything about having fangs and drinking blood. "I was angry, hurt, and confused. Lucas...oh my sweet Lucas I thought as more tears fell down my cheeks.
"ENOUGH OF THAT HUMAN!" he suddenly yelled, startled I loudly yelped. I looked at him confused, how did he know I was thinking of Lucas.
" Because...we share blood-bond. Anything you feel, I feel it as well and your emotions for this human male sicken me." His toned walked the line between bitterness and incredulity. He spoke of Lucas almost like he was a bug under his shoe.
I breathed in deep and noticed he had two long vicious fangs prodding from his lips. His eyes glowing fiercely red, He looked away, he bowed down a and placed his right hand against his naked muscular chest.
"Carina..." The way he said my name, There was certain urgency and desperation to it. It was almost as if he was trying to tell me so much just by saying my name. He sighed and looked up at the moon. Without looking at me he said.
" I did not mean to raise my voice. you have to understand. I cannot bear this any longer. It's such a torture to see you, feel you so close, but never to touch you. I have been very patient for 2 decades. No more! am coming to claim what's mine! "
His voice was getting further and further away, with every word he spoke.
" Wait, come back! what did you mean by claim what's yours?" I yelled back. but all I heard back in return was.
" Too late, my love! The bond has already been initiated. Until we meet again my bride. Farewell for now."
I woke up, heart pounding, sweating profoundly drenched with sweat. I looked up and the first thing I saw was the white ceiling and the brightly lit room. I took few deep breaths while I made myself comfortable. I sat up straight, as images of the mysterious man from my dreams run through my mind like a broken Cassette. I looked down and noticed I was actually wearing the long vintage white nightgown from my dreams.
I got off the bed and headed towards the window. I looked out the window, and The sky was tar-black. I heard a tapping on the window and then it became a pitter-patter. I watched as Lindsey our human neighbor and her two toddlers ran into the house, Away from the heavy rain and the strong wind. I felt a presence behind me and quickly turned around.
"Oh, thank god you are awake! You have been asleep for two whole days. You wouldn't budge no matter how hard I tried to wake you up. Oh...and your entire coven dropped by, they were very upset. you -
" Who is Kaizel Radomir? and why does he seem to think am his bride? " I interpreted her, while my gaze was transfixed on the heavy rain falling down. The babble of her speech died at the questions I asked.
I turned around and watched as her Mouth turned up a fraction of an inch. Her eyes looking everywhere but me. From her behavior, I knew right away that my dream was not just a dream
