Spy for me

1936 Words
I just smiled sweetly and turned the Lacrima around. Facing it, in Carina direction, as she slept peacefully unaware. He instantly sat up straight and lost his calm composure. " Is She sleeping ? " he asked mesmerized. Almost as if he was in awe of her.  I never understood his infatuation with Her, perhaps it was the fact that they were already blood-bonded, and in a way, already married, but it was still unusual to see him break his calm stoic expression.     " Yes, she is asleep Your majesty.   It seems you'll have to send clean up. Just as we suspected Carina has inherited some of your characteristics, including the urge to feed on blood. Now that she has had her first taste, I don't know if she will hunger for more eventually or if she can control her impulse to feed. " I replied annoyed by the fact, of having to spy and report on my daughter.        He seemed to be lost in thoughts, but the huge smile on his face confirmed my worst fears. This was his father's plan, to merge their blood so Carina can slowly transition into a vampire without being aware of it.     I gasped and inhaled deeply.  my eyes wide with fear, I could feel the oxygen flooding in and out of my lungs. I wiped the sweat from my forehead with a trembling hand. I hesitantly looked up at him, and my heart almost stopped beating.  The sadistic smile on his face was one of pure pride and happiness.         "Now, Now don't look at me like that Lady Fiona. Am just a man fighting for his future.  Am sure you can understand why my father and I had to keep this little piece of information from you. We can't have you ruining my chance of having a true blood-mate."      I instantly turned around and looked at Carina, I knew she'd hate me for the rest of her life for this. How could I be so stupid,? how could I not see this coming?   " You and your father Deceived me,  You never said anything about turning my daughter into a vampire! you can't do this to her!" I spat, anger taking a hold of me. He just smirked and laid back on his throne relaxed and content.      " OH, but I can do this, You see Lady Fiona...you made the deal with my father, Not I. I will, however, make Carina my bride, and she won't just be my bride. She'll be my queen and the mother of my offspring, with or without her consent, SHE WILL BE MINE!!" he finished the last sentence with a smug confident smile.     I gawked at him, mouth wide open. I didn't even blink for almost 40 seconds.  How can someone be so confident, He spoke casually like we were discussing the weather.  He suddenly seemed to be in good mood, which I  found frightening. both him and his father manipulated me and twisted my words, in my most vulnerable state I  could never forgive them for that, EVER! ".Am sure it will all turn out, to be great Lady Fiona. After all, we are a family now. So let's celebrate. bring me my bride, and you shall finally receive your freedom; along with the many rewards, that come with being my future queen's mother". Kaizel Radomir was as ruthless and sadistic, as his father. The only time he ever showed anything that resembled an emotion was whenever he'd spy on Carina through the skull seer. One thing I  knew for sure despite everything he tries was, Carina would never return his affections, let alone birth his children.  " I cannot bring Carina to you, she and I don't exactly have the best relationship. if you wish to claim carina, you need to leave your palace life behind and rejoin the human civilization once again. Get her to fall for you, or else you won't succeed in claiming her. Carina can be very stubborn and childish sometimes" I explained, as I avoided his gaze and looked everywhere but him      I lowered my head in shame, despite believing that I  was doing everything for Carina's sake. I knew I  couldn't fool him because deep down I'd be lying if I  said I didn't want that good life. After all, I was criminal and sinner, the worst kind. and without him and his island protection.  I would have been hunted down by the witch hunters or killed by the council by now.  I was about to disconnect the call  when he suddenly  asked      " Did she by any chance, kill that human? I  couldn't help, but notice her deep affections for the boy. It will be quite easy to seduce her while she's in that vulnerable state, heartbroken and all"    He wondered, with an arrogant smirk on his face. I didn't get a chance to answer his question before, he interrupted rudely by saying      " but then again if she does not choose to obey and love me as her rightful blood-mate.  I can always kill the boy in front of her. That will teach her some manners."    He spoke with such arrogance, That a part of me was a  little happy inside knowing, that Carina will drive him absolutely mad.  if he thinks, even for a second, that forcing Carina to obey will his will be easy, then he obviously had another thing coming his way. Fiona Evermore- 25 years earlier After an entire night of discussing my crimes, The council had sentenced me to eternity in purgatory for killing my coven.    " How long do you think, you'll last here witch? I can only do so little, to keep them at bay. They cannot wait to devour you. After all, it's not every day a witch get's thrown into the purgatory."        He spoke In mocking and irritating tone. Nonetheless, his words held the wisdom of truth. I could hear the demons hollering and screaming all around me. All that kept them away from me was my magic shield, and with no source of nourishment I couldn't keep it up much longer. My strength, my magic and my sanity, they were all slowly fading away, Everyday I spent locked up in this cage. I don't know how many months have passed by, but it felt like centuries.       The Purgatory was an endless space of ashy color. It was quiet and dark. It was filled with unimaginable Horrors. I could hear people strangling, suffering souls screaming in agony. Endless horrors filled my mind, day after day. It was horrible, and with every second that passed by, I could feel myself losing my mind.        "All I ask is to get to know one another, come to an agreement. Even perhaps make a deal? What do you say? "      Time after time, since my imprisonment here. He'd come back to my tiny little cage, always bearing fruits or water. I knew what his endgame was, his motives. So day after day he'd try to persuade me, taunt me, and tempt me with offers of freedom, among many other things.        I lifted my head up and saw the demon I have to come despise and hate. The demon who tormented kept me a prisoner in this hell hole. An undead skeleton creature, with a  face completely  devoid of any  skin and flesh stared back at me. His skin the color of blood, wide shoulders with a muscular build, two large black wings, mounted his lower back. and From ear level, two spiky horns sprouted out, his eyes burned fiercely. but to My surprise, he had no tail at all.          I dragged myself up with what little strength had left in me. Limped over to him and stood in front of him. I made sure to keep my distance from the crystal bars, that sprouted from the ground and drained my magic life force. I wrapped my arms around myself, hoping to keep the cold away and breathed in heavily, with as much conviction as could muster, I screamed.       " I will never give my daughter to you, ever! you foul demon. I rather die with her in my womb, than to ever let you devour my innocent child. "         He was quiet for a moment, then he suddenly threw his head back. laughing a very deep yet chilling laughter. All over sudden he stopped laughing and unlocked the cage with a wave of his hand. I retreated back into my cage and hid in the shadows, shivering with hunger, cold or fear I couldn't tell.        He walked towards me, his large black wings making it impossible to come closer. I whimpered pathetically and shielded myself with my arms. He suddenly reached out to my right hand and held it in his. I flinched from the contact, his hand as cold, as the cage I was in.     " Believe me, Fiona Evermore. when say I have no intentions whatsoever of hurting you or your unborn child. I do however think, we can be useful to one another. No deceit, no lies, just facts. At least hear me out, before you judge? "       I couldn't tell, if it was his deep hypnotizing voice or his English accent, that made every word he uttered seem charged with import and authority. Nonetheless, I was beginning to lose my resolve in never making deal with him. We both stared at one another, neither of us saying anything. His fiery eyes, so hollow and empty. I didn't understand the concept of his sudden change in behavior or why he was being friendly all over sudden.       I looked around and saw nothing. Just vast empty space of darkness. I guess anything beats this hell hole. I thought, He must have seen the defeated look in my eyes, because he suddenly got up, and lifted me to my feet. As I passed by every other prisoner, next to my cage. I saw how my stay in the purgatory will affect my future here.       Shades, so hideous and terrible to look at, scratching themselves over and over, shrieking in pain, but unable to never stop. I shivered knowing pretty, soon I would end up, just like them if I didn't manage to get out of here. I looked up and saw him staring down at me, he was letting me see them on purpose, showing me the future he was apparently trying so hard to save me from.       I closed my eyes, and let it all fade away. I let him take me away, I had no clue where he was taking me, but in the back of my mind, I thought, any place is better than the purgatory. I suddenly felt a very strong magic around me and instantly opened my eyes. I saw that he was opening a travel portal. In an instant, the portal was created and he walked in dragging me in along with him.     After we arrived at his intended destination. We got out of the portal, and my eyes were greeted by the most mesmerizing room I have ever seen. As we walked through what I assumed to be a palace throne room, I was blown away by the sheer beauty and power that emanated from the throne room. This was not at all what I expected!     Every inch of the palace throne room was decorated with what I  only assumed to be, gold, and various colored diamonds. As beautiful and breathtaking the palace Throne room was it feel in contrast with it's dark, oppressive cold atmosphere.
