Chapter 10 LENA POV The note nearly slipped from my fingers. I know what happened ten years ago. That was it. No signature. No explanation. Just six words written like a threat. The office felt colder suddenly. Rain battered the windows hard enough to shake the glass while red emergency lights continued flashing across the walls. I looked up slowly. "What does this mean?" Nobody answered immediately. Salvatore stood unnaturally still beside the desk, whiskey glass clenched tightly in his hand. Diego leaned against the wall now, all traces of humor gone from his face. Charlie was already speaking quietly into his phone near the doorway. More guards rushed through the hall outside. The fortress felt alive tonight. Dangerously alive. "Tell me," I repeated.
