Unexpected Feelings

Chapter 9: On the way to Soel city

** KATRINA'S POV **

After eating the delicious breakfast Javier had made, I went to sit on the sofa lazily with a full tummy. I scrolled through my phone until I received a call from Valerie. I immediately cheered up and answered with excitement.

" Hello bestie! "

" Wow you sound excited. I bet you want to tell me that you have bought the Louis Vuitton purse that just got released yesterday."

" Huh? " I was left confused. " What do you mean that there's a Louis Vuitton purse that got released yesterday? "

" What! you didn't know? Girl you are missing out. Everyone is trying to get their hands on them. It's going to be sold out soon."

As I heard what she said, I quickly said goodbye and went to look up at it online. As I see the pictures, my mind was already blowing. I searched for the places where I can find it, and there was only one place at the high end in another city." I have to get one like this." I said running to the kitchen to Javier.

" Make sure the car is ready by 10:30 am. You are driving me somewhere." I rushed out and went to my room to take a shower.

Since it was 9:25 already, I had to speed up my shower. After ten minutes, I was out. I quickly got dressed, do my makeup and hair, then I was done by 10:15. I went downstairs and found Javier sitting lazily on the couch still in his pyjamas. " Javier!! Why aren't you ready yet? " I said angrily taking his feet off from the table.

He just looked at me with a side eye, and stood up and went upstairs. I took out my phone from my purse to check the time, but when I found out that the battery was dead, I stomped my feet angrily. " Ahhh! You stupid phone, why you only switch off now! " I ran to my room searching for my charger.

** JAVIER'S POV **

When I reached my room, I went inside the bathroom to take a shower. I came out after 15 minutes later. Then I slowly get dressed, wearing a black suit which I always hate wearing it. As I was getting done fixing my hair, I heard a loud knock on the door of my room. " Argh what does she want! " I silently complained and went to open.

" What's taking you so long!! Didn't I tell you that the car must be ready by 10:30? " She forcefully made her way in and stood behind me with crossed arms.

" I'm almost done, just give me a minute." I said rolling my eyes and turning around to her.

" It's almost 11 o'clock! "

I went to my dressing closet and put on my shoes. After I was done, I grabbed the car keys from the drawer and fled out, with Katrina following behind trying to keep up with my pace.

" Slowly down." She starts to run.

I just smirked and continued walking. After we got inside the car, I start the car and drove out. " Where are we going? " I asked looking at the her on the rearview mirror.

" At this high end shop in Soel City." She bit her lower lip with a distressed look on her face as she looked at her phone. " Hurry up Javier! There are only 50 purses left."

" What? You just rushed me to get ready for no reason? All because you want to buy yourself a purse." I frowned and focused my eyes on the road." You don't even need a purse, you have tons of them at home which I know some you have never even used them."

" Just focus on the road, you don't know anything about girls." She looked over again at her phone and whined. " Javier speed up, Now there are only 35."

I evilly smiled when she told me to speed up. I stepped on the accelerator pedal and the car began to speed up quickly. Before long, she was already begging me to slow down.

" JAVIER!! Slow down you...you..." She was interrupted by my evil laugh.

" I thought you said I must speed up." I smiled happily to myself. " That's for making eat that garbage you cooked this morning."

" I said STOP!! "

" I'm just following your instructions. Haha." I looked at her terrified face on the rearview mirror, holding her seatbelt tightly with eyes closed. I slowly stepped off on the accelerator. And now I was moving really slow. I deliberately put the music loud so I could not hear her when she speaks.

" Javier!! This is not a joke! Hurry up, by the time we get there the purses will be sold out already." She wailed as I read her lips and expression.

Within a minute, I felt a hard painful smack on the back of my head. " Ouch! " I rubbed the back of my head. " Damn I almost forgot how painful her smacks are, especially when they land on your cheeks." I began to drive fast again to teach her a lesson for smacking me.

" Javier I hate you!! Stop the car immediately!! "

I ignored her and continued driving fast until a traffic cop stopped me. I pulled over sulking and rolled down my window when a female traffic cop approached. She looked at me seriously and asked me to turn down the loud music I was playing.

I turned it down and said." Yes officer." I put on a flirty smile on my face as I look at her.

" Your speed is above the speed limit Sir." She took out a pen and was about to write something down on a piece of paper.

" I'm sorry officer, but can you tie your shoes! " I said alarmed. She looked down at her shoes and looked back at me with a frown.

" My shoes are fine as you can see them, why should I tie them? "

" Because I don't want you to falling for someone else." I said in a flirty tone.

" Ahh I see you got some jokes. But that won't work." She lifted her hand and was about to write something. I stopped her hand and said.

" Hey you look tensed."

" And so? " she said in annoyance.

" Just so you know, I'm not an electrician but I can light up your day." As I finished saying that, I could see the ends of her mouth slowly curve into a smile.

I continued as I pointed at the smile on my face. " Guess what I'm wearing. "

She shook her head confused and responded unsurely of what I was trying to say. " A smile."

" Well. Not just a smile... It's the smile that you gave me." As I finished saying these words, I felt a sharp burning gaze behind me. When I looked back, it was Katrina who was furiously looking at me with burning eyes.

" It's not good to flirt with with women while your wife is in the back seat." She said looking over at Katrina in the backseat.

" Oh that's not my wife..." I quickly denied with a straight face. " She's just someone I'm driving." I touched her hand flirty, looking at her with puppy eyes. " Could you please forgive me on this one, Angel? "

She rolled her eyes and said. " My name it's not Angel... It's D'Lila."

" The people who gave you this name were probably jealous because they knew that the name Angel even describes you."

She stayed silent for a moment blushing. " Okay fine! I will let this one slide since it's our first time meeting. But next time, I won't let you go that easily. " She made a warning gesture before she went inside her car and drove away. When I looked at the rearview mirror, I almost fainted as I thought I the devil that is angry.

" I pay you to be my guard, not to flirt with women." She said greeting her teeth.

" For your information, You don't pay..." I didn't continue anymore as I saw her coming closer to hit me. " I will drive now." I quickly said starting the car.

** KATRINA'S POV **

" I can't believe that he is flirting with another woman in front of me." I mumbled furiously with my heart burning in flames. My heart strangely ached when I he flirted with that woman. I couldn't help but to frown at myself for feeling that way. I checked my phone and it the battery was only at 2%. I checked clicked at the app that gives me information on how many the purses were left at the shop I'm going. I almost screamed out loud as I saw the 1 and the 0 which makes only 10 purses left before they get sold out.

I tapped on Javier's shoulder and said in a depressed tone. " Javier hurry up. There are only ten purses left now. "Then I unbelt my seatbelt and leaned forward to put my phone on the charger connecting to the car.

30 minutes later, we stopped next to a shop called ' Her '. I quickly grabbed my purse and went out of the car. On the door, I bumped into a girl who was trying to also get in. She somewhat looked familiar. We both snorted at the same time without realizing it. When we both looked at each other, we were both shocked as we recognized each other.
