Unexpected Feelings

Chapter 5: At the hotel

After their flight landed, they went to stay in a hotel that was booked by the president for them. It was 13: 00 pm when they arrived at the hotel. Katrina was still feeling sleepy so when they got to their room, Katrina went straight to bed. Javier who was also planning on going to bed, stopped and stared stunned. There was only one bed which was big for both of them, but Javier wasn't going to sleep next to his enemy, neither Katrina would not like that. The president booked a room that was for couples only. He figured out maybe if they sleep in the same bed, it will speed up the process of them falling for each other.

Javier decided to just take a quick hot shower since the weather there was very cold and snowy. He probably stayed there for 30 minutes because of the hot water. He was very unwilling to get out of the shower. Since it was cold, Katrina didn't sleep much as she wasn't feeling any warm. She woke up and sat up on the bed. When Javier got out of the shower, he wrapped a white towel from his waist down, leaving his upper body exposed. When she saw the door opening she turned her head to the door.

A man with wet hair covering a part of his face came out, with a towel wrapped on his waist revealing his sexy muscled upper body making Katrina get distracted completely. Javier thought Katrina was still sleeping when he came out, but he didn't expect to see two pretty eyes that were exploring his body from bottom to top. He almost screamed in horror when he saw Katrina who seemed to be lost in another world was awake. When Katrina met two pair of cold hazel eyes, she quickly looked away and snorted.

" Didn't they teach you that staring at someone's naked body without their permission is wrong? " he said frowning from how her stare made him feel strangely uncomfortable.

" Phff. Weren't you taught that when you come out of the shower, you should wear a bathrobe? " she said while looking at the other side trying to not look at him.

" But it's rude to stare at someone without their permission." he took a dryer and began drying his hair. Katrina didn't say anything and instead watched him drying his hair that made him look attractive. When he was done, Katrina whined. " I'm hungry. Order me some food."

Javier who wasn't dressed looked at her coldly and said." you have eyes to see where is the hotel phone service. You have legs to walk up to it. You have hands to pick up the phone and Dial their number. You have a mouth and a voice to tell them what you want..." Katrina looked at him stunned. " You have ears to here what they will say. You have the right to hang up the call. So do it by yourself."

" I will tell my dad and get you fired! " Katrina glared at him stubbornly.

Javier remained unmoved by her threat. " go ahead. it doesn't matter anything anymore. I already hate you, so you'll just do me a great favor. "

Katrina's eyes became teary. It was her first time hearing someone saying that they hate her. It broke her heart but didn't show it. She got up angrily and left the room, and ordered herself a tasty meal. A few minutes later, a knock came from the door. Katrina hurriedly went to open the door. Her food was brought by a man in his fifties that works for the hotel. By the time Javier came out of the bedroom, Katrina was already gobbling down her meal. Her hungry eating appearance made Javier stare at her for more than a minute. He strangely found it a little cute the way she was eating.

Katrina felt a stare and her eyes quickly went up to Javier who was standing there not far from her, wearing his casual clothes. Katrina has never saw Javier in his casual clothes before, she was used to see him in a suit. She found him looking more attractive wearing a shirt that was a bit tight for him as it revealed his strong muscle that were covered by the shirt's thick fabric. She looked at him embarrassed because of the way he looked at her when she was eating hungrily. Javier walked close to her side and said.

" where is my food? "

Katrina looked at him arrogantly and pouted her lips. She took the thigh of the chicken that was on her plate looking delicious, then she slowly takes a bite of it trying to annoy him. She slowly chewed and made the ' Mhm ' sound. She slowly swallowed and drank her orange juice and said ' ahh ' looking at Javier who was staring at her with an irritated expression. She smiled and repeated the words he said to her. " you have eyes to see where is the hotel phone service. You have legs to walk up to it. You have hands to pick up the phone and Dial their number. You have a mouth and a voice to tell them what you want.You have ears to here what they will say. You have the right to hang up the call. So go and do it yourself." she thought of something and added. " oh and don't forget that you are working for me now, so make sure you stick to your job."

Javier just grinned in response and went out. Katrina gave off her haughty laughter and continued to eat happily. After she was done she got bored and called her friend, Valerie. " Hey bestie! " Katrina said as soon as their call connected.

" Oh hey Katy." Valerie was still asleep when she received a call from Katrina. She already knew about her going abroad, which she was so happy about. She saw this as an opportunity for her to finally relax and don't have to deal with people that were provoked by Katrina when they go somewhere. But she was also sad because Katrina was her best friend and the only one that knows and understand her better.

" Are you still sleeping at this time? " Katrina had forgotten that she was in a different time zone so was surprised to hear Valerie's sleepy voice.

" I forgot that you never paid attention in the Geography class. We are in a different time zone, dummy! " she sat up on her bed and stretched her arms.

Only then did Katrina remembered that they were in a different time zones. " Oh right! I forgot about that." she smiled foolishly at herself. " So... do you miss already? "

" Ahh.... mhmmm. No. I believe I don't. Ever since you left this country, it felt like the weight has been lifted off in this country." Valerie was only joking and also didn't want to admit it to her that she missed her.

Katrina frowned and said. " Really? Is that how you think about me, that I'm fat and...." Katrina didn't finish what she was trying to say when Valerie quickly corrected her.

" I never said you are fat. I was only trying to say..." Valerie suddenly changed the topic deliberately. " You know what, let's just leave this topic as we both know that who is going to win. " She got out of the bed and headed to the bathroom. " Tell me, how is life going so far? "

" My life never goes anywhere right. " she said lazily. " I just don't understand why does my life have to be this way."

" What do you mean? " she asked putting the toothpaste on her brush and starts brushing her teeth. Katrina sighed and told her everything that has been happening between Javier and her. Valerie kept humming after every three sentences Katrina says. When she finally spilled up the whole drama, she eased a bit.

" Oh wow. You know, I don't really understand why you complaining about getting the most handsome bodyguard. That one dear is to die for." she flicked her hair and washed rinsed her mouth.

" WTF Valerie? He is not handsome plus he is cruel. Can you imagine that he mocked me and left me when I need his help? " she recalls when she fell into the pool of mud and the words he said before leaving.

" You are not getting me Katrina. Have you ever had a young and a good looking bodyguard before? "

" Yes I agree with you that he's young. And no I don't agree with you that he is a good looking guy..." before she finish speaking, Javier walks in and said coldly.

" Pack your bags, we are leaving the hotel." he went straight to their room after he finished talking.

Katrina rolls her eyes at him before saying goodbye to Valerie. She goes to the room and found Javier taking out his luggage.

" Make sure you pack my slippers. I cannot survive without them." she said leaning against the wall with folded arms.

Javier looked at her scornfully and said nothing. He went to the bathroom and came back with their teeth brushes and packed them. He packed everything they needed and walked out the room. Katrina carried her hand bag leaving Javier with all the luggages. When they left the hotel, a car was waiting for them outside. Javier opened the driver's door and got in leaving Katrina to open the door for herself. She stumped her feet and gets inside the car. When Javier saw that Katrina was inside, he starts the car and off they went to their new home where they will be staying.
