The moment I saw Leah sitting in class, her smug little grin plastered on her face, my blood boiled. I couldn’t focus on anything the professor was saying. The words just bounced off me, lost in the torrent of anger and frustration swirling inside me. Leah had crossed a line, a line I didn’t even know she was capable of crossing.
As soon as the class ended, I didn’t waste a second. I walked straight to her, ignoring the confused looks from my course mates, and grabbed her arm, dragging her out into the hallway. She barely had time to grab her bag before stumbling after me.
“Ryder! What the hell?” Leah yanked her arm away, glaring at me as we reached the hallway. “What’s going on with you?”
