Ethan’s POV The house felt too small. Even though it had ten bedrooms, a massive backyard, and more space than most families could ever need, the walls still felt like they were closing in on me. I had only been back for three days, but I was already losing control. Every corner I turned, Ava seemed to be there. Every time I tried to focus on something else, my mind dragged me back to her. I tried everything to stay busy. I went for long runs early in the morning when the sun was just rising. I spent hours in the home gym lifting weights until my muscles burned. I even sat with Dad in his study, helping him organize old business files. But nothing worked. Ava stayed in my head like a song I couldn’t turn off. That night, sleep refused to come.
