Chapter 2

Blaine

We are all lined up in front of our guest, our reinforcements rather from the Third District. They are all assessing us all one by one if we are worthy enough to join them in the battlefield.

The Third District is one of the most outstanding city here in the island of Hope. The island of Hope has ten districts in total.

The Third District is a war veteran city. They also have the bravest and smartest warriors. Their best assets are also present here today indicating that they are taking our request seriously.

The star of the third division, Caerro Morhtix. He is the fastest assaulter that holds a record of killing eleven abnormal humanoids in just thirty seconds.

Samantha McHeart, the best sniper of the Third Division. She has the record of shooting twenty-five abnormal humanoids in just one minute. She is really an insane sniper.

Jacob Reiver, the bravest bomber of the Third Division. He currently holds the title of having twelve kills using nuclear spears in just two minutes.

They all have the three best warriors that can defeat humanoids in just a matter of seconds.

"You lost twenty-six warriors including two captains. We suggest to you that all of the remaining assaulters and bombers must not be deployed in the battlefield. We only need the snipers and gunners to support us. Knights shall not enter the battlefield unless the war chief of the Third Division will give an order. All of the said positions must remain and the unwanted positions must leave. Dismissed." The captain of the second army said.

Available Information:

Knights- are warriors that are positioned on the ground. They use Roller Shoes and Grappling Hook for mobility. Their weapons are mainly Anti-Humanoid Crossbow.

Gunners- are warriors that rides a Gunner Cart. They shoot heavy loads of nuclear energy bullet rapidly but the bullets aren't as strong as a sniper's bullet.

Roller Shoes- are shoes that have four wheels on each of it's sole. It is used by the knights only for mobility.

Grappling Hook- is a devise that is mainly used by knights for mobility. Pull the trigger and the hook will be shot towards a target. When it hit a concrete wall, the hook will grip the concrete and when you pull the trigger again, the hook will pull you/target towards the Grappling devise.

Anti-Humanoid Crossbow- are weapons that shoots arrows that have nuclear energy. It can shoot rapidly at a time.

Gunner Cart- are carts that have guns on it's front frame. It requires two men to use the gunner cart, a driver and a gunner.

My position is assaulter, I'm one of the survivors in the previous battle against a Demon Threat Humanoid.

I glance at my other comrades that are left behind for the discussion.

I just wish they win tomorrow, or else all of the people of the Fourth District will surely going to be wiped out by those monsters.

Samantha

"The targets that are present here are the Demon Threat Humanoid and two Monster Threat Humanoid. There is also sixty-five abnormal humanoids that are currently exploring the infected land of Fourth District. Captain of the First Army, Carlo. You are in charge in wiping out these pest. Captain of the Third Army, Perry. You are in charge of diverting the attention of the two monster threat humanoids. Lastly, Captain of the Second Army, Marco. You are in charge of killing the Demon Threat Humanoid. Is everything clear? Once the meeting is over you can discuss your own tactics on how you will defeat your designated targets. Dismiss." The War Chief said as he waved his hand dismissing us all.

I walked towards our Captain, Marco. Caerro and Jacob are also part of his army. His army is consist of fifty warriors plus the thirty warriors from the Fourth District.

We all gathered in front of him. When all of us settled down, he cleared his throat.

"As you can see, our target is not just any common target. It is a Demon Threat Humanoid. It has intelligent and animalistic abilities. Of course we must know first what kind of monster we are dealing with." he said as he eye us all one by one.

He pull out a folder and opened it.

"These folder contains the report of the warriors who partake on the previous battle. The report here states that the warrior is at least three-story tall, have a hard skin, it's face is nothing but only a large mouth. It's ability is to harden it's skin that even the falcon blades, gunner bullets, nuclear arrow and nuclear spears can not penetrate. Only the sniper's bullet can penetrate the hardened skin. It is currently located at the east part of the city. All evacuees are transferred to the northern part of the city." he stated.

"Most assaulters are injured when they tried to slice the hardened skin. Most of them injured their hands. The nuclear spears doesn't work either as it only bounce off from it's skin." he continued.

A warrior from the Fourth District raise his hand.

"Yes?" the captain asked.

"Then if blades and spears doesn't work on that creature, how can we supposed to kill it? Our best assets uses blades and spears." he asked, I can sense fear in his tone.

"Kid, are you scared?" he asked in a serious tone.

"I-I'm n-not captain" he stuttered.

I glance at our captain, he looked away from the warrior and look directly to my eyes.

My eyes widened when he smirk at me.

"You are forgetting something fellow warrior, maybe Caerro and Jacob can not fight that much because of the situation, but we still have Samantha the sniper. Her bullets can penetrate any humanoid skin. We have ten snipers in our army and I think that is enough to take down the target. Knights, you're in charge of luring the target to the battlefield, after that retreat immediately. Assaulters, you're in charge of diverting the attention of the target, knowing that it has intelligent, I warning you to be careful and also you're not allowed to make any kinds of attack, only the snipers must do the attacking. Gunners and Bombers, assist the Assaulters if possible but do not shoot recklessly. Snipers, I want you to hit it's weakness, the Assaulters will make an opening for you. All of you, I want you all to be careful. Team work is a must in order to defeat such thing. If everything is now clear, dismiss." he said as he waved his hand dismissively.

We all put our fist to our chest where ou hearts where located  as we bow to him showing respect. After that we all leave the meeting room and went to our designated rooms.

I guess tomorrow is another hell day and I'm f*****g nervous and stressed knowing that we snipers are the only hope to defeat that kind of monster.

Caerro

We are currently inside our war plane. The First Army will be deployed when we reach the western part of the city where a lot of abnormal humanoids are located.

"Attention. Warriors of the First Army please prepare for the deployment." the captain of the plane said.

" The platform will open in ten....nine.....eight.....seven..."

I glance at the first army, they all look nervous . Some of them are already sweating. Well it's really a nerve wrecking work. Killing monsters that is bigger than you and feeds on human. No ordinary human can withstand that kind of fear.

But we are no ordinary human, we are the warriors of humanity.

"....one"

The platform where the first army stood was opened. They are now deployed and they can not back down now. As if they could.

After they were deployed, the platform closed.

"We are now heading towards the southern part of the city where two monster threat humanoids are located. Warriors of the Third Army, please stand on the platform and prepare." the captain said.

The third army went to stand on the platform. If the first army looks nervous, these warriors are more nervous. Their targets are two monster threat humanoid. If abnormals are scary, monster threat types are two times more scarier.

"The platform will open in ten.....nine.....eight.....seven.....six.....five.....four......three.....two....one...."

The platform opened and the warriors fell down to their designated area.

When all warriors were deployed, the platform closed again.

"We are now heading towards the eastern part of the city where a demon threat humanoid is located. Warriors of the Second Army, please stand on the platform and prepare."

We all stood and went to the platform and readied our weapons. The carts are already placed on the platform. Maybe you're wondering how they will land? The cart has an in built parachute so landing isn't really hard for them.

"The platform will open in ten.....nine....eight....seven..."

I looked at Sam who is looking stressed. I took her hand as she looked at me. I smiled at her and told her it's okay.

She smiled at me too as I took back my hand and readied my gear. Only the Assaulters and Bombers doesn't have parachutes because we already have our falcon gear.

".....one"

The platform opened and we all fell down towards our designated area. As we fell, I also saw the warriors from the Fourth District being deployed to the same area as ours.

I look down and I spotted our target. I glared at it and clenched my teeth.

Time to kill the devil.
