Chapter 7

Wilson pov

I watched as she fought off the alphas and warriors, I have to say that I was impressed with her. She was strong and held her ground. At first I agreed to all this because I wanted her to be in pain, to just hurt her a little bit, with the stunt she pulled this morning, I was angry. I’m not one to want people to bow down to, but with her, I felt it would be amazing, Elijah had gone furious when I thought that, but I could care less, I didn’t want her, she held two of the things I despised most, a mate and a rouge, worst, daughter to the rouge king, all this just made things worse.

When she heard that we wanted to go to war with the rouges, she flipped, I was impressed with her determination to defend what’s hers, she doubted that her rouges would ever attack at all showing how much trust she has in them. I sat there and watched her exchange with Williams. She seemed to go into shock, when she heard she has been out for a week, her expressions went from shock, worry then concern, Elijah was staring, he wanted to go out and comfort his mate, but I wanted to see how far she could go do defend them. “train your warriors, we are going to war, they come for us we kill them “I said coldly, after all, we were the ones being attacked, we did not go out to provoke them. Somehow this made he explode, she began with her insults if I do put it that way, or more of an argument between her and Williams, I really could catch much of it, with the speed of her voice, the power in it, I was just to dumbfounded to really listen to her, but I did catch on during their last exchange, that’s only because Elijah was just too proud and kept blocking me out despite how I wanted to talk to him, I wanted to know what was happening to her, but he was just too impressed to concentrated on her to give me the time of day, so I had decided to pay attention to her, only to be infuriated by her words.

“how can a king be so pathetic, I’m queen of the rouges, I swore to protect and serve all rouges. You took the same oath as well, promising to protect and serve all werewolves. Does being rouge mean that I am no longer a werewolf? Are we nothing but dogs to you? Why the hypocrisy. Both of you are not fit to lead, even an omega knows about fairness and justice, the importance of sticking to your own oath. If this is the kind of kings we have, I’m ashamed for all those under your rule, and damn disappointed to be give such embarrassments as mates” she was raging but I as worse, just this alone was enough to make me lose my mind. Firstly, she is questioning our ability to lead, secondly, she thinks we are lower than an omega, thirdly, she just announced that we are mates, fourth, she called us embarrassments, and lastly she did so before everyone. I was seething mad, how dare she, but for some reason, Williams was even more mad, he was shaking, I knew he was fighting with Robert, he wanted to shift and tech her a lesson, but Robert would not let him, he could never fight his own mate. On the other hand, I was fighting Elijah.

“why are you shaking, why are you so mad at her, is it because she said the truth, is that what hurts you” he mocked me. “how are you not angry, are you that weak to not be affected?” I yelled at him and he just shrugged. “I had warned you before but you never listened, now you finally met your match, be a man and deal with it.” he lazily said, but he was just making my anger worse. “you do know that if she hates me, she also hates you right, you are a part of me, and those words are meant also for you” I mocked him back but he just laughed. “they don’t, I’m the reason why she is still kind to you, it’s not just because she is your mate” he suddenly turned serious. “I don’t want her; I don’t need a mate” I was losing my temper again. “just because of that she wolf, I had warned you that she was not your mate, but you kept finding excuses, stop directing your anger towards the wrong person, it’s pathetic” he yelled before he shut me out, I kept trying to talk to him but to no avail until I stopped only to be shocked.

When I got back to reality, I found something I had never seen before, it looked like she and her wolf had merged into one, she was just beastly, one giant, red eyed human wolf. I could feel the shock and fear coming from everyone in the room, I couldn’t say I was the exemption, I was just too shocked. “since you have decided, I will show you that I am not weak, let’s hope you don’t regret it” he voice was strange, like speaking to the gods. I just stood there, too astonished to react as I watched her kill my alphas, but there was nothing I could do about it, despite being frozen in place, Elijah was like a love sick puppy. The pack bust through the door and stood frozen when they caught the scene before them. “I knew I never liked you” she smiled as she snapped Zack’s neck. The warriors were quick to react and began to fight back, but she handled herself pretty well, after a couple more minutes, she looked exhausted and in pain, she just dropped to the floor breathing heavily, the warriors surrounded her baring their teeth, you could feel their anger, one woman just killed more than ten of them without breaking a sweat. ‘you do not get to kill her, or that will be the end of you” I told them through the link, I don’t know why I did, but something was staring inside me, and I just wanted to see what this mate is capable of. ‘why can’t they just kill her, it will save us so much trouble, or are you turning soft Wil?’ There came Williams’ voice. ‘I’m not going to kill her, and no one else is allowed to, not even you. Are you willing to die thanks to the death of your mate?” I asked him and he went quite, he knew he was right, but that was not why I wanted to keep her alive, the reason is that, despite hating everything about her, and actually never wanting a mate, a small part of me actually wants to know how it would feel to be with my true mate. “are you going to give her a chance?” there came the annoying wolf. “just one chance for you Elijah, I may not really like her, but now I do respect her, she is a wolf ready to protect and stand her ground even if it costs her everything, I will give her just one chance, she messes it up, I don’t mind dying” I told him and he went crazy with excitement.

Sadly, his excitement was short lived, when one of the patrons came rushing in, looking like he could drop at any moment, badly injured. “alphas, rouges” he said making everyone panic. I linked Peter, he was the head warrior and should be fighting. “what’s the situation Peter?” I couldn’t help the worry that came with it. “the situation is bad, it’s like we are fighting an entire pack and they are pretty strong. At first they just stood by the boarder not crossing, but later, they went crazy and just began attacking, most of the men are injured, but if not treated quickly, we would lose a lot of warriors.” He said sounding terrified, if this is how he sounded, I knew we had to handle things quickly. I was about to get everyone ready for battle, when my soon to pass out mate howled, it was the most powerful and strangest howl I have ever heard. I looked at her shocked, and a moment later, howls came from the forest and she smiled at that. “they are leaving alpha” Peter’s astounded voice came, causing me and Williams to stare at each other before he went and shock her. “what did you do” Williams growled and I had to hold him back from doing anything. “gave them assurance and consent. It’s the power of a king to deliver a message without saying a word” she said breathlessly before she lost consciousness, I couldn’t help but be impressed.

I calmed my raging brother while everyone made their way out. “why didn’t you let them just finish her off” his anger was now directed towards me. “I already told you the reason, aren’t you just being unreasonable and unfair to Robert, it’s his mate as well. Besides I have decided to listed and put Elijah first for once” I told him calmly as I tried to calm him, he was never one to have any control on his anger. “have you fallen for her” he asked so calmly and I knew he was about to explode, one wrong word and I’m in for it. “it’s called respect, are you not curious? Not even in the slightest?” I controlled my anger but he was just making it hard. “so let me get this straight, first they kill dad, then they play with our emotions and pretend to be our mate, then they attack us, now she has Jacob guarding her, finally now she is taking you from me? Hahaha. She sure is good” he laughed clapping his hands. “you can’t blame her for things she hasn’t done, it’s my choice to give her a chance. Besides….” He cut me off. “look around you, our dead warriors, fellow alphas, she killed them all…” he was being hysterical so I just cut him off. “I don’t want to argue with you, you deal with things your way, and I will handle mine my way, just one thing, don’t you dare kill her. Besides that, you can hurt her to your hearts content and I won’t stop you” I sighed and carried my mate back to her ‘room’ to care for her. “so you are choosing her over your own brother?” Williams sad voice came as I made it to the door. “I’m not choosing brother, but if need be, I will” I left after that. “you did good Wil; I promise you won’t regret it” Elijah said howling in joy for having his mate so close. “I’m doing this only for you, just because I understand your reasoning. But you should know, I would rather fell guilty and be a terrible person, than to fight with my brother” my voice cracked at that. “he will come around, just you be patient” he tried to comfort me, but it did nothing to the pain in my heart. I hope you are right; I can’t lose him as well.
