Chapter 13

Emily pov

It’s been two weeks stuck in this room and believe it or not, I love it. For the first time since I have been here I have had a chance to relax. I thought it would be terrible and that I would not be allowed to meet anyone, but I still get to meet Teresa at least three times a day when she brings me food and snack, and its only because she works in the kitchen that I get to be lucky enough to see her. And let me tell you, it’s because of her that I still get to at least know what has been happening recently, for example, the fact that they have been frequenting the club, and Blondie has been nagging them to get me to call him, at first she was annoyed because he did not know him, but when I told her the story about that day, she understood, and besides I did promise to call, I just have to get out of here and back to my room and also find a way to borrow a phone. But we all know that nothing good lasts forever right? For the past three days, I have been under the weather, with today being worse. I can barely keep food in my stomach, anything that goes in comes right out, I never have any energy and today, I can’t even stand on my feet and not feel like I’m about to drop. I tried to get up when the door flew open. “still sleeping on the floor I see. So what did you do this time” Teresa asked the minute she opened the door, the bathroom door. I don’t know what’s wrong with Williams, but he has been making me sleep on this cold, hard uncomfortable floor for days now, and that too without so much so as a blanket, damn, I would even take a scarf, I am beginning to miss the couch. Don’t get me wrong, when he is in the room, everything is just terrible, but once he leaves, it’s my castle. “good morning to you too. Now can you help me get up form here” I said to her and she looked extra worried. “you need to see a doctor Em, your body is cold, you’re shivering, you look pale and thinner, and mostly, ready to drop should I let you go” she said supporting my body with hers. I knew she is right, but I can’t leave this room for another week without going against my contract with Williams, and I can’t get a doctor to come to me also because no one else is allowed in here. “you know he won’t allow me to leave this room, and if I do, the deal is off, and I can’t get Sam out of there” I said desperate, but my mind made up, its only for a couple of days and I will be fine. “I’m going to get you to that hospital, whether you want to or not” she said standing her ground and I just kept my mouth shut, I was not in the mood to argue with her. When we got to the room, she set me on the bed and brought the tray of food she prepared for me. Just one look at her food and my stomach began to churn. “take this food back” I mumbled with a hand over my mouth. “what’s wrong with all this? I made your favorite thought of spoiling you today. Its peanut butter sandwich Emily” she said looking concerned. Normally, I would kill for peanut butter, but now here I am shoving it away and running to the bathroom to clear my already empty guts. “I’ll just change this then” she sounded worried looking at me with my head buried inside the toilet. “maybe bring some lemon water, had it helps when you are feeling nauseous” she hurried out after I nodded my head. After a couple of minutes, I was finally able to get up and rise my mouth. When I was done, I turned to return back to the room, but then suddenly felt dizzy, and everything went blurry before it all went dark.

Teresa pov

I got back after getting a change of food and her lemon water, I went back to the room to find her. “Em, are you ok, come out, I made soup” I shouted when I entered her room. I hate this room, Williams has been confiding her in here for so long, and I’m forced to come in here for only a couple of minutes. I placed the food on the table then went to the bathroom to check on her, and God did I regret it. She was just lying there, passed out and in a pool of blackish blood. “Emily!” I shouted running towards her and shaking her awake, but got no response, so I linked Peter and Jacob. “come to the Alpha’s room right now, Emily…” I couldn’t continue, I didn’t know what to say or how to stop the tears, moments later, they came busting through the door. “what happened to her” Peter asked worried as he held my shivering body. “I don.. don’t k.. know, I came here and found her like that” I explained between sobs, while Jacob had long run to take her to the doctor. We followed right behind him to the hospital, and found him standing outside the ICU. “what’s wrong with her, what did they say?” I asked a shaken Jacob.

“they are still working on her, all we can do is wait” he said sounding and looking helpless. “it’s going to be ok. She’s going to be ok” Peter said comforting us, and he sat with on the bench holding me while Jacob held his head in his hands. After a long time, the door opened, and we all got to our feet instantly, and out came my brother, George. “how is she, George? Is she going to ok?” I asked anxious, I hoped she was ok. But the terrible look on his face told me otherwise. “for the good part, she is alive. we found a large amount of silver and wolfs bane in her bloodstream, from the looks of it, she was being injected with it, that is why her blood is black. Those two combined create a very powerful poison, and with the amount in her body, she should long be dead, but being a blood red is what kept her alive this long. She is stable for now, we forced her into wolf form so she could hold out until we find a way to cure her. And now for the bad news, to keep her alive, we had to abort her child, there was no way to save both, and even if we did, he case is so severe that at the end we would have lost both” he said looking disappointed.

His words left us in total shock, she was pregnant and she didn’t even know about it, and now, she never will get to have a moment with her baby, even if it had yet to be born. “how far along was she?” I asked barely stopping my tears. “almost five weeks” he replied holding me. “so what is going to happen now, is she going to be ok?” Jacob asked holding back his anger, but you could still feel it rolling off him in waves.” I should go congratulate them, not only have they tortured their own mate, they have successfully killed their own pup, best fathers in the world” Jacob said sarcastically, his hands now into fist “she should be fine as long as she stays in wolf form, is she shifts back, I don’t know what will happen” George explained. “but there is a way to cure her. You are the best doctor here, there must be something you can do”, Peter said anxious. “I’m sorry, but it’s out of my hands, you will have to ask Zamora for help, she’s the only one I can think of who can help. You should do it quickly before she shifts back, since the child is gone, her wolf is more focused on keeping her alive, if she shifts back, it’s possible the possible it will affect her organs, and if that happens, there will be no saving her” he said seriously, and at that moment, Peter kissed me before he took off with Jacob to find Zamora. “can I see her?” I asked after the guys left. “sure, but I advise you don’t tell her about the pregnancy, we don’t need to agitate her or to make her feel worse” he told me before he lead me to her. When I got inside, she was just lying there, with no movement. “you are going to be ok, I promise. Everything is going to be ok” I said, not sure either to comfort her or me, I just could get rid of the feeling that something terrible is going to happen. I sat on the chair beside the bed and fell asleep.

I woke up to someone anxiously calling my name. my eyes shot open and I realized it was Emily, I couldn’t contain the excitement I was feeling, or stop my tears, I hugged her immediately, and cried, then started to pour my heart out as she kept calling my name, well, linking me to be exact, found out that she can mind link any wolf, even those who are not rouge “you have no idea how happy I am that you are awake, you passed out in the bathroom, so we took you to the hospital, the shots the guys have been giving you got too much and your body gave out, my brother said you have to stay in this form or you will die. And you have to live Em, you are my best friend and I don’t want to lose you, I do….” I was sobbing but she cut me off sounding angry. “can you shut up. I have been calling your name. call me a doctor right now” she panicked. “why does anything hurt?” I asked linking my brother to come right away. “I can’t see, I am blind” she growled out, sounding both angry and hopeless.

That left me stunned and I just stood there shocked, as she talked to them and a moment later I was pushed out of the room. After what seemed like forever with doctors running in and out, my brother finally came to me. “what’s wrong with her this time” I looked at him. “it’s worse than we though, she has gone temporarily blind because of this. We need Zamora to help her before it becomes permanent, and it’s only a matter of time” he said seriously. “how long before its permanent?” I asked a bit afraid to find out. “I can’t say for sure, but she needs help quickly. Peter and the Beta need to hurry up, she can’t stay in that form forever. She is scared and is bound to shift back into her human form soon. And if that happens, there is nothing to do to help her” he said before he walked off. My knees gave out and I dropped to the floor, I hate feeling helpless. In just a couple of hours, she has lost her child and gone blind, and if she does not get help soon, she could die
