Chapter Twenty
Saying Goodbye
“What are you thinking about?” Amber saw Nicole lost in thought.
“Do you want me to invite them to the airport tomorrow?”
“I don’t think I could handle it. I’m already a wreck at the thought of leaving you. Oh, sweetie, do you want them to come with so you have someone there for you?”
“Maybe Jill, if that’s okay.” Nicole looked sheepishly at Amber.
“Of course.” Amber kissed the tip of Nicole’s nose. “Call her and then let’s go upstairs to Mom’s room. Maybe you could hold me while I just spend time where she was.”
“Whatever you want, love.” Nicole called Jill and arranged for her to pick them up the next day and take them to the airport.
