AFTER MEETING THE GIRLS, Sarah headed straight for the Village Park. She was looking forward to seeing the children... but another part of her was also excited to see Caleb. Sarah bit her lips as she wondered if Caleb had invited her along to see him in action too. Thoughts of Caleb trying to impress her on the field with some fancy soccer footwork threw her off. Stop it, she thought to herself and rolled her eyes.
As Sarah walked past the church and through to the soccer field, she saw Philip and smiled.
He waved and called out to her. “Sarah,” Philip smiled as he jogged towards her. “How are you?”
“Fine, thanks,” Sarah said rather frostily that she’d surprised herself. She knew from Louise that things weren’t quite so good between them and feelings of protectiveness came over her.
