Louise DelaneyThere were few tables vacant when they got to the cafe. “I had no idea it would be so busy at this time,” Louise said.
“And aren’t we the lucky ones to get a table by the fire?” Sarah added.
“Yes, I’m freezing,” Kate said as she rubbed her hands together.
“Oh, darling,” Louise touched Kate’s arm. “Are you dressed warmly? You are wearing thermals underneath all that aren’t you?”
Covered from head to toe, Kate shook her head. “What are thermals?”
“Thermals are a must in the winter here,” Sarah said. “I’m sure I have some you can use. We’re about the same size, I think.”
“You’re way taller than me though,” Kate said rather seriously.
