Sarah GardnerThe weekend came around quickly. Before she knew it, Sarah was standing in the driveway helping Charlotte and Ben get the children out of their minivan. “Thank you so much for taking the kids,” she said to Charlotte, taking her into an embrace.
Charlotte hugged me back. “They were no trouble at all.”
Sarah turned to Ben. “I don’t know what I would have done without you guys.” It was Ben’s turn to get a hug.
“Any time, Sarah,” he said. “You just let us know if there’s anything at all that you need.”
Sarah picked up Zoe and hoisted her onto her hip. “Did you kids have fun?”
Zoe wriggled and reached her little arms out. “I want to go to Auntie Shallot!”
Charlotte laughed. “You’ll come and visit very soon, okay princess?”
“What about you, big guy?” Sarah turned
