It was disconcerting and, quite frankly, frightening. On Wednesday morning, Louise sat across from George, the nurse practitioner. It was just as she’d done six months before, and another six months before that. The last two years had been laden with visits to the specialist. They’d poked, prodded, and conducted tests on her to try to work out why she’d been feeling so off kilter. She was relieved when her blood tests came back perfectly normal.
