Kate MorganAfter talking to Abby, Kate realized that she needed to pull her head in and provide a stable home for her son. She was grateful to be living in Louise’s spare bedroom, but she needed a long-term plan. If not for herself—then at the very least, for Adam.
She stood in front of the mirror and gazed at herself. Lots of things have changed in the last few months since she’d had Adam. Her belly was still heavy, but she could feel it slowly—very slowly—settling. Kate ran a hand over the stretch marks that covered her stomach and sighed. Even her boobs were unrecognizable. They were huge. It was almost as if they weren’t hers. And they hurt. They hurt every time Adam needed a feed. It was like a timer... or a dinner bell.
