Chapter 35 Abby DelaneyThe next day, Abby woke up and reached for her phone. She sat up against the headboard and typed out a text to Shelby. “H8 myself. Lyf sux.” She hit the send button and then tossed her phone on the bed. It was Saturday, and she didn’t need to be anywhere. Abby climbed out of bed to grab a book from her school bag. She’d borrowed a new book from the school library about a girl who was born to d**g addicts in a dystopian future. It didn’t seem too far-fetched given how she’d come into the world herself. Her phone beeped. It was Shelby. “Can’t b worse than mine. Wot r u doing 2day?” “Blobbing.” Abby typed. “Wanna hang?” As much as she hated her life, Abby did admit that things have been better since she’d met Shelby. The days didn’t drag on as long as they used to.
