In the months that passed, she grew fonder and more attached to Caleb. His presence was like a warm blanket on a cold winter’s night. But despite the calm she felt within, her heart was wracked with guilt. Was she falling for him? How could she possibly be falling for someone else? Adam had just died, for goodness’ sake! The questions kept piling up and guilt consumed her from the inside out.
