Frederick had been in prison for six months when he received an unexpected visitor. Dr. Helen Park, his oldest colleague and friend, was allowed to meet with him in the prison's visitation room.
"I have been trying to find a way to help you," Helen said as soon as they were sitting across from each other. "I have been working with lawyers and federal agents to try to clear your name. But Frederick, the evidence against you is overwhelming. The evidence has been carefully constructed to make you appear guilty."
"I know," Frederick said. "I understand what has happened. Alexander orchestrated everything. Alexander has used me as a scapegoat so that the organization could consolidate power without raising suspicion."
