“Hey dude, I’m home. I brought take-out.” Jack frowned at the darkened condo. He called out. “Willem?” as he walked to the table to set the bags of food. He noticed the note. After several calls to Will’s phone that went immediately to voicemail, Jack called his father.
“Dad, how was your group meeting?” He wasn’t as interested in that as in finding out if something was wrong with Willem.
“Hi, Son, it was intense but having Willem there made it easier. I’ll be able to handle the other sessions on my own.”
“Was Willem okay during the meeting? He left a note saying he had to get back to the lodge tonight. He was off for two more days.” Jack’s voice rose slightly as he spoke.
